How did earth survive 18 months while Inaho was out of action?

Inaho is way too OP especially with that bullshit eye implant he got. I can't count how many asspulls he got from that eye.

Martians were steamrolling earth within 1 day and only Inaho knew how to take down the enemy mechs. How the hell did the Martians not continue the steamrolling after Inaho got shot in the eye and went into coma for 18 months?

The only plausible reason I can think of is that the narrative we're shown only oversees a very small part of the whole war. We get told on day 1 that the Martians have invaded the major cities on Earth, but we were never told whether the whole country has fallen. Like there is an ace for Japan in Inaho, there is probably one for every other country on Earth. We're not really shown what the UE is capable of apart from ordering Deucalion around.

Like any war, it's not won by 1 or 2 heroes but rather a collective effort. It's just that showing the adventures of Inaho is what the story is about thus it makes it seem like Inaho, alone, won the war. It's like many of the Gundam franchises; they show this badass protagonist shooting everything down (ahem Kira) but also makes it clear that there are many "heroes" on the battlefield, for example, Muu la Flaga.
