| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Hmm, color me surprised. I just finished reading up to here (end of vol10) in one sitting. It actually really improves later on, from just plain comedy/parody to something more serious and powerful. It's quite endearing at times. I thought this manga would be your typical stupid love comedy with ridiculous shoujo drama but it actually has more to it. The main characters are quite likeable, the side characters are likeable and the pacing is really well done. All of the "annoying" drama was handled well like how Ayase's ex didn't really do that much to hurt Hinana like the way other shoujo do drama. The stuff with Hinana wanting to do piano took me off guard. I thought this manga would be pretty one dimensional like other shoujo where the MC doesn't really have any skill or passion except falling in love with main guy. But Hinana has a backstory and she has things she loves. The Funny Bone drama is handled well too, although I think Mitsuki was def the worst character so far. I like how it wrapped up with the reunion concert. Anyway, I'm looking forward to more. Will prob start buying this manga now. |
