I've been waiting for this episode to be animated. I wish it was done as well as in the manga, but the voice acting was especially well done this episode, imo, which compensated.

Now remember back when Fraudlin got had? Ban came close to Meliodas and touched him on the shoulder, as if friendly letting him know things are fine now. HOWEVER, what he actually did (or was supposed to) is he put his mark on the Captain, and now, almost there, he going to finally use it to stop Meliodas from raging.

I still hope this episodes budget was dropped this abysmally low was because next episode is gonna have (hopefully) the best animation in this season. Considering that the bulk of the fight is happening next episode.

To see Studio Deen shit Nanatsu no Taizai SOOO BADLY, isn't even a surprise at this point, but man, this middle-series episode is truly the way to bid farewell to this once-strong series. Back to reading the manga instead...

The fight between Melascula and the Seven Deadly Sins is one of the biggest fights in the manga, but this has got to be one of the most abysmal works of animation ever procured. Not to mention that not a single ounce of heart is ever given in regards to the emotions and strangleholds that these recent adapted chapters have been used. The victim match between Escanor and Meliodas truly is horrendous as well.

Honestly, to the person who chose Studio Deen instead of A-1 Pictures (who've done the manga justice the past 2 seasons), you have made a grave mistake.

Oh yeah because the fight ended this episode. And it's not like this is the worst this animation been this season. No there's no chance that the studio dropped all the funds they have on the next episode and that they're trying to make the next episode the best episode of this season. There now way that might be happening.

haha can't wait for rest of the manga to get animated, this series has been terrible even in the manga anime just takes things on next level. The current manga arc is awful enough already and with deen on our side we will get double abomination.

Normally, I don't say anything about the animation of any show. Hell, I don't even include it in on how I rate anime but....this shit is beyond me (along with Berserk 2016 and 2017).

That is a "foreshadowing" explained. If you know what I am talking about, Ban has a skill called Mark which he can activate from distance after he puts it by hand on his enemies. Now, when the battle was over and Meliodas had shown to be getting more violent and uncontrollable, Ban put his hand on Meliodas' shoulder for a second. Either they foreshadowed Ban's cautiousness and how he prepared for the worst case scenario, or they completely missed a chance to foreshadow it. Time will tell.

I'm not a manga reader, but I've heard this part, especially Meliodas VS Escanor is one of the best parts in the entire manga

Of course, the fight will go on next episode, but it will most likely look just as bad, or even worse

If this season would've been adapted well, this episode would probably have been one of those episodes, which after the score starts rising like crazy.

But instead, it started falling like crazy. From 6.85 to 6.76 in one day.

well, I wasn't expecting much going into this episode and the only thing I gotta say is if they tried to claim the title of the worst anime adaption of all time they definitely succeed.
seriously tho if I wasn't such a huge SDS fan I would have already be done with this shit, the only thing they can do to make the next episode worse is having both meliodas and escanor cough out cum like previous eps that's literally the only thing they can do to make this worse.

The pacing for this episode was honestly awful, I mean just for example, when Gowther jumps onto Melascula he says that he's disconnected her nerves for 10 seconds, then no one does anything for about a full minute. In the manga the time from Gowther jumping on Mela's head to Ellie taking her out, is half a page, with less dialogue.

The fight itself also has different pacing, and Escanor spends far less time just sat there.

Please, if you haven't, go read the manga from chapter 197 (where this season started), at at least read 229, 230, 231, and 232 (Melascula fight + Meliodas vs Escanor).

I read about the fight scene at the end of the episode before watching it myself and thought that the fight in the Manga wasn't great itself (it's a lot of just standing and teleporting around), but hoo boy, it is abysmal, all of it just feels so incredibly rushed.

I hope they cut this episode's budget for the sake of the next episode, cuz this one was god awful.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the work of the animators, given they almost have to work for free and 16 hours a day, also they don't even have half of the staff they had for the first season.
But I'd preferred to wait another year than get a rushed anime adaptation of the best 10s of chapters of the Manga.

They should've given us a preview of the season, to let us decide if we want them to release it now or let them polish the animation.

Even i do am a little bit confused that there is this escanor vs meliodas but not that highlighted much since the episode is more of melascula vs the other.
