Was this ever legally available i can't seem to find it on Crunchyroll this episode sounds familiar but i have only watched Gintama through legal places mainly recorded on TV and Crunchyroll

Most people didn't really watched this, but in the main series there's in fact a episode that adapt the exact same chapter of the manga, that's why it seems familiar. Maybe it was released alongside a Gintama's DVD, but I don't know for sure.
