THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.

Lol, the way Slime is playing around with his newfound body/powers is amusing.

We got appearances of wolves this episode too. There's still a lot of narratives coming from Rimuru but I think the show is fleshing out his personality pretty well. He's even giving names to the characters.

Really glad to see Ranga in this show already. I find his character interaction with Rimuru to be quite entertaining.

So many cute Goblin Waifu's. I am happy this isn't Goblin Slayer.

Well that was probably my favorite episode yet. It has so many cute moments, especially the name part. Pretty smart that giving monsters names makes them stronger and more adult-like.

Those crafted potions sure proved unexpectedly useful. The fence and Rimuru's skills sure proved effective at dealing with the wolves. It was cute seeing the two sides reactions on getting their names. Quite the interesting episode and i loved how Rimuru resolved the crisis by unifying the two races and teaching them how to coexist with each other and work together to survive. The wolves having shared names and names being able to level up monsters were interesting developments. Looks like the next stop is meeting the Dwarves.

I'm enjoying this anime very much so far. Sure, it might not be a "realistic fantasy", but it left a smile on my face and feeling good and positive, loving the interactions between the characters.

That is why a lot of people prefer GS, at least that is a reason I see a lot in forums. I'd rather have the "unrealism" of goblins and direwolves working together with a slime leader though, haha.

On one side we have Goblin Slayer while on the other we have Rimiru. It totally shows differential viewpoints of people from opposite perspectives. And both are right in their own way.
That naming ritual hit the gob ossan so hard that e turned from arrow splashing to a dynamite macho. XD

Nice episode yet again. When I saw title I expected battle to take longer. I'm happy it didn't - I'm not really watching it for action.

Episodes goes by too fast. The feel of wanting more is too strong.

Probably the sound effects but the direwolf leader beheading felt a bit more violent than I remember.

The moment Ririmu wakes up and everyone was different was as enjoyable as I expected.

Lol the Goblins got so excited at the thought of simply getting names. I wasn't expecting them to power up though, which made it funnier.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

for me both are enjoyable on its own way, oddly enough goblin concept of breeding on GS are similar to darkspawn from dragon age awakening so its not that strange to me.

PS: after i watch this episode of both series, they remind me a lot of re:monster a lot

Isekai is evolving!! The action scenes were quite intense it's like they actually care what they're doing unlike Goblin Rapists L0L kill me. Music being used also fit the anime perfectly 10/10 masterpiece anime of the decade

Goblin Slayer would have a hard time dealing with all of those swole goblin. and the evolved female goblins sure are.. you know, pretty fine. i love this adaptation, the animation is so extra

and Ranga wagging tails is so powerful damn.

and hey, they adapt 2 chapter at once, we’re getting closer to his human form than i thought

They evolved into goblinas and because Rimuru told them to not attack people they could be counted as 'Not leaving their holes' which would be Goblin Slayer's definition of a 'Good goblin'

damn its too good. When i was reading those chpaters in the novel, i went by those chpaters pretty fast and thought that the anime will deal with the content of this entire episode in 2-4 mintues or even worse, it would be told off-screen.
Lets be real its 8-bit, you can expect anything.

But wow the pacing is actually perfect, i dont use that word usually, but its hard to think of a better way to do the pacing. Or maybe its just me, i love slow-pacing, its much easier to immerse yourself and feel the story.

Loved the adaptation of naming and evolution (something that surprised me a lot when i was reading so i was waiting for adaptation ever since). Was always kinda saddening that the father direwolf got the short end of the stick ;-; and how his flock didnt get angry or try to take revenge, feel bad for the papa wolf, stay safe in heaven at least from this cruel world ;-;

At the very least RAnga is fucking sick, best charcter after Shion and Benimaru

Offtopic but bless the author for actually allowing people to fan-translate his WN <3 (tho he did say, its until publishers get angry, g...gulp) still what a great man, but just in case i need to finish quicker lol.

Is the main character ever going to find someone at least as strong as him as opponent in the future? Not saying i don't like watching OP characters wrecking things, but his power just seems excessively convenient just from the very start because it allows him to endlessly become stronger. I'll stick seeing where this goes anyway...

I absolutely love the pacing. It doesn't feel rushed and yet they are covering a lot of ground. I am convinced now ep 24 will cover the sky whale. if not, maybe recognition from the dwarven king as a city.

Found actually funny how the concept of "named character" was used in this episode xD Once they have name, they stop being mob characters and become important, and evolve.

Damn, I can't help it but I compare Tensura with Goblin Slayer a lot xD

YumiShinku said:

Me too. basicaly because we knew he was the father of Ranga. Bugged me how he didn't care after all that and took Rimuru as his master. But oh well, that's gotta be the logic of that world.

I was thinking "oh man, Tensura is so good. It's a shame it's gonna be another 12 episode anime with 0 chances of a second season" but then BAAAM! 24 episodes! YEAH BOI! More Rimuru Tempest goodness for everybody!

Let's make Isekai great again, everybody!

Great episode this week, a massive improvement compared to how the Goblin Village adventure began. The evolution thing was a weird but interesting idea (not least because Gobta doesn't seem to have evolved, for some reason), and the rest of the developments with the village were quite interesting on top of that.

Man this show gets even more fun with each episode

Really enjoyed the war with the Direwolves and I loved seeing him name everybody too but what I liked the most is that we now see that he has a limit to how much magicules he can use which is a good thing

I like broken characters but I don't want em to be THAT broken lol

Interesting how powerful names are in this series since it allowed the Goblins and Wolves to evolve in such a big way (Goblin Slayer has me wanting to kill Goblins but damn I wouldn't mind smashing some of those female ones xD)

Great episode overall though, really excited to see the dwarves now and I hope that Ranga stays with Rimuru all the time

in that case Wolf's Rain "tried" more than both of them, because I can compare anime from different seasons
it would make more sense if both shows had the same producers or even genres
