The revelations of Genesis Omega Dragon granting people "the time they desire" actually leading to the destruction of multiple planets prior to the events of this series, actually made sense due to people feeling too satisfied by their "fake reality" to move on and advance. And due to this, civilization and humanity failed to advance and evolve, and thus deteriorated into ruin.
G.O.D. really had this all according to plan, consider how it manipulated the likes of Eve, Sora, and Ren into doing its bidding. In all honesty, its goals are actually quite parallel to Zarc in the anime because both entities were technically granting "wishes", though Zarc was basically answering humanity's desires for violence. I also think G.O.D. may have been originally a good-willed entity that got corrupted by the constant granting of its wishes, much like how Zarc got corrupted by his own resolve to "grant the wish" of violence to humanity, which also correlated to his four ace dragons feeling anger and hatred toward humanity as well.

One last note: that was a pretty powerful and emotional moment between Yuya and his brothers, with the latter having known that their time was growing short.

Whelp it's now God-Eyes VS G.O.D. Let's go!
