Solid episode again, the deaths may lacked impact, but I liked the ending scene.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

"I don't want to grieve anymore" certainly is a fitting title for this episode, because Setsuna barely has time to react to his friends dying around him. And on top of that, the audience isn't given enough time to react, either. I'm sure these big character deaths were probably meant to be affecting, but that's what you lose when it comes to these rushed VN adaptations.

Oh, well. Congrats on the sex, I guess.

I'm definitely going to read the source. This anime feels rushed but I really like it and to be honest I don't get the whole hate. I would understand the hate of VN readers (12 episodes for 40h long VN is really way too short), but most of the hate comes from completely random users.
Anyway. I still consider this series as AOTS.
Also comparing it to the complete train wreck called Rewrite is just stupid. Rewrite adaptation failed at a literary everything. Starting from terrible art and animation, comple lack of build-up, everything mixed together and awful writing.
Island had solid build up (especially for 12 episodes series), really interesting concept and great art.

Finishing up my leftover shows from the past season and just finished this episode.

First thing that caught me off guard was Karen dying. I thought that since he knew what her condition was that he'd actually get her to a doctor and surprise them with what he knew and they'd save her. Definitely didn't expect her to die that way.

Second thing that caught me off guard was the fucky fuck time with the two of them. Only because my lighting in the room is very bright, and although I never have any trouble seeing the screen or have any glare, they made that scene extra dark to the point where I actually couldn't see what was happening. I only caught a glimpse of a silhouette in the dark and thought. is that a sex scene? Then I turned off the lights and replayed it and it was much much clearer...yup, that was a quite graphic sex scene. Hey at least it was drawn dark and it was consensual unlike last seasons Grancrest Senki.

What a crazy episode, these episodes in the future are completely different to what the past episodes had to offer to be honest! This is actually interesting, sadly with only two more episodes it doesn't really correct the faults that this anime made :/

I've played the game so I know it happened despite it doesn't state or show explicitly but... seeing that they showed it explicitly on this anime, I feel I just got destroyed on the inside.

Wtf I didn't expected at all the final scene with Rinne
My mind bugged for 40 seconds because of this
And 2 deaths of main characters in 10 minutes...
The scene where Karen die on the back of Setsuna when he lift her to the hospital is powerful
And again the 2nd opening for this episode, MAL say it's the last time we hear it in the rest of the serie

Hold on sec, what the heck... Rip sex scene, I felt that Sara and Karen's deaths were too forced. A vn adaptation 50 hours later shortening it to 12 episodes was a bad idea. But it's not bad either, I like Rinne and Setsuna's scene at the end. They got married and also 10/10 for this eps

The whole episode was kind of rushed but that is understandable, i hope we get to see the whole story.

Just to clear one small thing, i don't think its really correct to call the never island "an alternate timeline" because from the start of the anime we are seeing a "single" loop of events. @KANLen09

▶It starts with Setsuna waking up (ep1) stuff happens, Rinne dies, he use the cold sleep machine (ep8), wake up in the future (aka never island), others die, island is unrecoverable, after some hot action with Rinne, he use the time machine to go back in time.

▶From here on out, we don't know it yet but im guessing he's not going back to the ep1, instead he's going to travel to much older past, probably at the time of legend and then some stuff going to happen and he's gonna "Fail" and with one or more time jumps, he's going to end up in beach at ep 1.

▶This is a single loop, so if he repeat this loop but with different decisions, some different things happen and then its an alternate timeline.

Actually he keeps traveling forward in 20,000 year increments and every 40,000 years everything resets. He's been doing this for millions of years. I've put 55 hours into the VN and watched several videos about it. There is no traveling to the past. It's just an endless cycle in which he fails every time.

So the 2 dropped out, Rinne ends up with Setsuna, Setsuna goes back in time , but before he banged Rinne, Did we just saw somekind of Child porn, given that rinne is made to look like a little girl while Setsuna is an adult????

Well she is only 13 and he's 20

Those, who are complaining about incomprehensible storyline probably never watched Rewrite.

That's why you don't watch Rewrite or Island. You read the damn visual novels first, lol

In the time of 6 minutes, two people died, whereas on Island VN it at least took 2-3 hours apart for it to happen, the pacing feels so fast, there is no way someone that has read the VN can rate this highly, there is still some enjoyment from seeing some scenes and characters animated, but god...
As an anime only this would have probably be more easy to take, if stop thinking about it, in a way the plot is easier to understand if you played the VN, this anime is like a short summary lol, the VN really suffered from a convuloted plot that paid big in the end.

Whew! They forked...

I hope at the end of this travelling, he goes back to where he was in the first episode.

LMAO, I was not expecting them to go for that, if I had already not seen that scene before watching this adaptation, the execution was very lacking but at least it leaves no doubts about who is the best girl here, Rinné.

It annoys me whenever someone tries reasoning with people who are clearly unreasonable. But what else can you do, I suppose? Anyway... Setsuna and Rinne might not have had a wedding, but they certainly had a bedding!
