| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- FLCL Chapter 1: I'm really excited to see how well Yoji Enokido does by novelizing FLCL, and this chapter was well done. It's clear the novel has nowhere near the energy the anime was able to pull off during this scene, but this novel has the kind of depth that only a novel can provide. I'm not sure on my feelings about the perspective the novel takes. The story is told in the third person and closely follows the perspective of one character. However, the story did a transition from Naota to Mamimi without any clear indication. This isn't necessarily bad, but it was a weird move. |
