| Aniplex has opened a teaser site of a new TV anime "Togainu no Chi". It's based on Nitro+'s Boys Love (yaoi) adult PC game released in 2005. Togainu no Chi game official website Togainu no Chi (PS2) (audio on) Synopsis: An imaginary country "Nihon" was destroyed and divided into two by a third world war called "The 3rd Division". A few years after the war, Toshima, one of the cities in the former capital Tokyo, is occupied by a group of criminals called Vischio. | A yaoi TV series? I always applaud this sort of effort. Funded by Aniplex? Even better. I may actually start getting my hopes up, even though I'm only familar with the game's art (and quite like it, which makes me all the more happy with Aniplex's involvement - I think the appointed studio may just be able to get it right since it's likely to be given a satisfying budget.) Ah, and it's about time the company started funding yaoi series after getting so much money thanks to its female-friendly series (just to name a few, Kuroshitsuji, Oofuri, Gintama). This was the obvious next stage, I guess. |

| I doubt the anime will have any yaoi in it. Some shounen ai innuendo at most. Also, it's nothing like your generic yaoi stuff. I hate BL with passion myself, but this one is an exception. Not to mention Niθ's artwork which is a masterpiece on its own. It's by far not the best Nitro+ title, but still worthy to give it a try. |

| This will probably end up like most eroge adaptations do, but with hot guys instead of hot girls. Not that it matters, it's not like I would watch an eroge (or other VN) adaptation anyway without hearing anything good about it., because they almost always turn out to be somewhere between average and awful. If I did, it would be for some kind of challenge or because I think it's going to be bad to the point it might be unintentionally funny, or because it gets good reviews, and even then, Clannad and Higurashi are far from the best anime I have seen. Also, there's a typo in the thread title ("Animplex" instead of "Aniplex" and "Nitor+" instead of "Nitro+") |

I don't see a single eroge adaptation on your list, how can you judge then? In any case, no offence meant, but this is the silliest prejudice I've ever encountered. It's true that most of the eroge being adapted into anime are stupid generic harems, but there's plenty of exceptions. Nitro+ games are one of those exceptions. As well as the games from Black Cyc, Liar-Soft, Abel, Xuse and some other less known studios. It's actually a blessing that at least some of Nitro+ games are being adapted into anime, the other studios aren't that lucky. |
