| Romance and music. It fails greatly at both. Now before people get angry, keep in mind I did drop it after 7 episodes so these opinions are only valid for the first 7. The music is okay, but there are two problem with it. One: there's almost no variety. And I don't mean the songs they play, but the OST. The same song plays almost every episode during a sad moment. Second problem is the main reason I dropped this. The 3 kids practice for a few episodes. That's the whole plot for the first 6 episodes. Piano, guitar, and a singer. They go up on stage to play in front of the crowd. What's that I hear? No piano? No guitar? Drums? Yup. What's the point in all that practice if they literally don't even play except in their solos. Wait, Touma has no piano solo? Just a sax part?? Something that wasn't even practiced was in it? Nice. The romance is just SO BAD. For the first 6 episodes romance was only hinted. The main character doesn't even care for romance from what we've seen. Oh, what's that? He's kissing someone who loves him? Since when did he care for romance? Yes, it was implied a few times with his blushing that he MIGHT like them. But kissing just because he gets along with her? Wtf? |
