No Game No Life (light novel)
| The screening of the movie has started in 61 theater throughout japan, And "Thanks to its unexpected box office success", they added 54 more theater to the run from August 26 and the following weekends..source As of August 18, after a month of screening in theaters, the official Twitter account for the No Game, No Life anime announced that the No Game, No Life Zero film's box office total topped 500 million yen (about US$4.6 million), which was considered a huge success source The Mahouka movie had about the same earnings (500 million yen) in the same period of time (1 month) despite being relatively more popular than NGNL in japan.source The continuous success of the movie lead to even more screenings, The official website for the No Game, No Life Zero anime film revealed on August 11 that the film will get 4DX screenings at 48 theaters in Japan beginning on September 9.source (Theaters with the 4DX or MX4D systems have motion seats that move in sync with certain action sequences onscreen. Similarly, effects such as scents, wind, and mist operate in conjunction with the action onscreen.) The manga adaptation of NGNL returned after a 3-years hiatus to celebrate the success of the film P.S; Sentai Filmworks will premiere the film with an English dub at the Los Angeles Anime Film Festival on September 15, while the US nationwide theatrical release is slated for October. My bet is that we'll get an announcement of a S2 sometime in 2018. |
