| YO WHAT?! That awkward moment when a simple and pure love story about cute and shy middle school students has the love confession in the 3rd episode, beating out most high school romance stories. I'M LOOKING AT YOU, KIMI NI TODOKE. He even beat the other guy to the chase. I am impressed, with Kotarou and with the show in general. This one's a real winner. |

Neither of them is overbearingly genki but also not introverted to a point where you gotta ask yourself how they are able to socialize at all. It's the perfect mix that depends on who they're with. Probably because after he heard her friends talk about the track guy planning to confess usually he would curl up, cease any interaction to not "interrupt anything" but he actually took this as a motivation to be one step ahead! Curly, you are one slick guy and I love you for that. Well now where will we go from there? To be honest my favorite course of action would be the following. Akane will reply with a yes and both will awkwardly yet overly happy part ways for this night. They will be on cloud 9 for several days until reality hits them a little and stuff like clubs, school, family & friends makes it hard for them to meet up much or do/say the things they'd like to. I think this hint towards them moving away might force them into a long distance relationship. Since I saw some promotional art where both of them were in highschool I assume we will get a time skip sooner or later. Either they are still together but suffer greatly under the long distance relationship or they decided to end it before it even came to that. I can imagine that curly might be successful with his career as an author and somehow move to a school that is close to hers which enables them to meet more often or again at all. That's the sort of progression I'd wish for. Innocent yet sweet love that has eventually meet the harsh harsh reality of life, wavers or even breaks under the weight but never really looses itself until it is reunited at the end. EDIT: After seeing the ED's chat, it seems like my prediction might actually turn out to be quite accurate. It sounds like they're in Highschool/College and in a long distance relationship I was sitting here watching them together thinking "if this is one of those anime where either are too weak willed to confess I will scream"...then curly-kun follows through! THE LEGEND! For now - I agree with what you've said, I'd really like Akane to say yes and they stay together throughout the series, even if it is long distance. No doubt Chinatsu and Hira will be on their tails, friends, family, moving away. I dont care as long as these cuties stay together. |

| Seeing how realistic this anime is, I have a feeling that she is going to postpone her decision so that both of them can focus on their goals before coming together during/after high school/college. We might be able to experience some time skip and may works well with 2 cour. This anime feels very different from our typical animes because it is much more relatable to real life and also absence of cliches. First, not like most animes, the presence of parents really helps to portray normal child/teen lives whether by assisting, embarrassing, protecting or even nagging them. Here, we don't see a 6th grader waking up at 5am to cook breakfast for their siblings because their parents are away for god knows how long. I really appreciate the non-verbal movement animation of the characters when they are joyful, embarrassed and awkward. Also, the insert song really add moods to the scene, which rarely occur in other animes. |

| I'm really loving this anime so far. The ending really caught me off guard tho; for someone as, uhh, quiet, as curly-kun is, I did not think he'd ask her before Hira. This slow-paced romance is so cute, and it's funny how like every time something cute happens, I internally just scream like a fanboy lmfao. But I think the best part about this anime, for me at least, is the relatability (is that a word). I can relate to their relationship up until now so hard, it's crazy, and it's cool how it feels like I'm reliving that part of my life all over again by watching this. Can't wait to see where this goes from here on out. |

| We got a confession but I wish the characters weren't so boring. Making a romance revolving around 2 shy characters that barely talk is not the best idea. I'm guessing this issue goes away soon since the show is ranked so high. |
