| Have you watched Fate/Zero yet? It is explained why Saber is the only one who can recall her master F/SN and F/SN UBW are alternative versions of each other in the same timeline, but it involves Shirou taking a different route; SN Deen is not prequel to SN UBW. This should also answer why Shinji is alive in UBW Both versions had Archer not remember his own true name, so there is no chance to remember his previous master if he had one. |

| It isn't explained well outside of the VN (another side effect of not having a good Fate route adaptation), but basically, the true reason why she can remember the past war is that unlike other servants, she is technically not dead yet, so she retains all memories from the previous times she has been summoned. |
