To you that have watched it, what can we expect? Was it good? Considering that the project went through hell with all the bankruptcy and studio shifting going on, I have medium-low expectations.

I watched this movie on release date(02/03/2017 JST).
Many people say this movie is not good because too many scenes were cut from original novel.
But for me,this movie is good because I thought this movie reproduce atmosphere of original novel, and this movie have some great Sci-Fi,Near-futuristic,and some awesome gunfight scenes.
So,yeah,as an reader of original novel I really enjoyed this movie, but majority of reader of original novel are not happy with this movie(in Japanese internet community)

Really? Damn that's a shame. I read the novel and had semi-high expectations for this.
Behold! The way is clear! We're free! I, the mad scientist, Hououin Kyouma, have triumphed under a twofold assault, from SERN and the Organization, by twisting the very fundamentals of time and space! The world as we know it has been put to rights, and a future of chaos awaits us. This, my friends, is the choice of Steins;Gate!

The film is at least stable at the box office in Japan even after a month of release and the movie's site has posted a news saying there will be an event to commemorate the success of the film. I did not read the book, but I think it's naïve to think the movie would be exactly the same, it never happens.

i plan to watch this movie in local cinema (Malaysia) tomorrow. Is the movie really 115minutes or almost 2hour long as written in the cinema's description or it is much shorter than that.

I dont think i want to watch a rushed movie if it was like other 90 minutes generic movie.

it was 1 hour 30min. I did watch the movie(at GSC) and it's totally worth it for those who like to watch psychology or sci-fi anime.

And yes, the movie is definitely worth it. The trailers might look like a stupid action-packed movie but it's certainly not. It was surprisingly calm and quiet, with only a few (really good) action scenes throughout. What also surprised me was how current and relevant the political ideas were, considering the original novel is already 5 years old.

Also about your concerns with the studio swap: I didn't notice a thing. The movie looks really good. The character designs are incredible, the animation consistent and it features some really outstanding animation cuts (By BahiJD for example).
The movie felt extremely tight and coherent in general, but some scenes with characters just standing and talking went on a bit too long for my taste - Nothing deal-breaking though.

(PS: I watched it with the German dub in cinema - Can't comment on the original dub.)

Short, relevant and concise and to the point; just what I was looking for. Thanks man, will definitely watch.

I just got back from the screening at Alamo Drafthouse, which, though licensed by FUNimation for North America, was the original Japanese audio with subtitles. If FUNimation dubbed it and is also screening that version, it was not available in my area (Houston, Texas). Anyway, the animation is impressive...and the gory aspects of modern warfare are rendered very graphically on screen, with believable sound effects as well. The story was science fiction but very "near future" tech, not far removed from our own, set in a fictional 2020 after a terrorist nuclear bomb has leveled Sarajevo and lead to an even tighter level of security restrictions and protocols worldwide, with the US leading the way. The world seems bent on erupting into chaos and civil wars leading to mass local genocides. US intelligence analysts notice that a particular American consultant seems to show up time and again in the world's hotspots, with genocidal Civil Wars erupting six months later without fail. The hunt begins to find this individual. What follows is a special ops cat & mouse game that is entertaining to watch. I remember telling myself the fictional world here shows how you could get to the world that became Project: Harmony. I didn't know there was any connection between the films at the time I watched but have subsequently learned they spring from the same author. Genocidal Organ definitely feels like a spiritual prequel to Project: Harmony. The premise is a little hokey, though the screenplay writers did their homework about linguistics and about the literature of Franz Kafka, though there were other absurdist Czech writers besides Kafka who actually wrote in Czech, not German like Kafka. I really don't buy the central linguistic conceit of the film, and thus its "moral", in the end, is lost on me, but it shares the same bleak outlook as Project: Harmony. I guess because I am a fan of Project: Harmony I was able to enjoy this film more than if I only viewed it as a stand alone work of art. I suppose ultimately as a work of art, this film is a failure; its philosophy is pretentious and superficial...audiences will mainly enjoy the war gore porn.

i really wanna see this movie. Is there anyone that could tell me a potential UK digital or blu ray release date? I missed the cinema showing and it's no longer showing in my area
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes

That way I wouldn't have to have any goddamn stupid useless conversations with anybody. If anybody wanted to tell me something they'd have to write it on a piece of paper and shove it over to me. They'd get bored as hell doing that after a while, and then I'd be through with having conversations for the rest of my life

The film is licensed by Anime Limited who have released the other 2 Project Itoh films on home entertainment.

Guess that's the Japanese release date. Looking at Harmony, one of the other Project Itoh films, it came out in Japan last March, US got it in September and the UK got it in November. So 8 months later!

Educated guess then is June next year, but Anime Limited didn't get the rights to the other 2 till a month after they came out in Japan so may have delayed things, plus they were behind the theatrical release so maybe a lot closer to the Japanese release.
