I was hoping even if it's an incomplete adaption it'll finish as a relatively satisfying point, but... eh.

Does the adaption miss anything/deviate from the manga? Can I skip straight into chapter x/y?

Hmm, I don't remember much about the anime but one thing for sure is the baseball player hasn't made his appearance in the manga yet

Super late reply but it seems the manga translation has caught up with the anime. It is worth reading since the anime cuts out 70-80% of the content...and the manga is so much better.
