| No, it's a comedy about a lonely girl who has trouble fitting in and concocts weird schemes to make herself more popular, most of the laughs come from her failures and ideas, which are weird, (ie..the vacuum cleaner!) Outside of her mom & brother, some people are kind to Tomoko, like her friend Yuu, the Cultural Comittee Head, who thinks Tomoko is cute, and that guy who gave her the umbrella. Tomoko is just so shy and paranoid that she doesn't take advantage of their kindness the right way. Also, she's just a 1st year with three years to go, maybe she'll eventually fit in a little and make some friends. I see this as a weird girl comedy, like Squid Girl, I wouldn't take it too seriously. |
