| I agree that Yuri is a strong female, so she's well deserving to be heroine of the month. I've only read ten volumes to this point, but so far I think it's a pretty interesting manga. I like the mix of romance and adventure. Though I'm not that big a fan of the angsty parts, i still like the story. |

| I started reading Ouke no Monshou because that's also a historical romance story, and takes place in ancient egypt one of my favourite historical places, and I decided not to compare the two heroines Yuri and CArol together but I just can't do that. Compared to Yuri Carol is a crybaby and she has always wavering emotions. I just can'T undesrstand how can she one moment hate the pharaoh so much and in the other love him. Yuri in the other hand has an unvawering love for Kail and all of her friends, and she would go to every corner of the world just to save them. She is smart and not because she learned it at school, but because she has a natural leadership ability which also charmes people to her. I love this heroine soo much! She is my absolute favourite from a lot of great woman heroines!!^^ |

| I really should get around to reading Red River. I guess I'm avoiding it because it's another long series and those are such money sinks (not to mention I've put new purchases on hold until I finish collecting a few other manga). But I will give it a try one of these days at least. :) |

| One of the blogs I follow recently did a post on Yuri which talks about why she is a strong, resourceful, and intelligent female character. It also mentions she grows a lot in the manga.
