| That Free The Nipple campaign sure was a success. That horse man licking her upper body grossed me the fuck out. Even reminded Guts of Casca and her being ravished. My favorite part was the fight with the apostle. |

| Loved that episode. Stuff about the kingdom (politics) happening at the end. Interesting preview (with Casca) and I liked Farnese and that guy (Serpico). He seems a lot stronger than he acutally showed. I don't think he is evil. He could have been some highly intelligent Apostle guy hiding his true face but I don't know thy he should have done that. Also when nobody was nearby (only the anime viewer watching) he seemed a bit surprised and getting attacked I think. Apostle would have just controlled all the other evil stuff. Seems at the moment that he is some church guy not directly in the chain of command of that troops Farnese is controlling. More like an observer (that still might be able to give orders) trying to report stuff Farnese is doing to the guys above. I like that he seems pretty strong. With Guts on full health it would probably be an interesting fight between them. |

| Farnese has nice... abs. Whoever directed and/or storyboarded this is an idiot. Way to break the flow. It should have ended with them parting ways. Also, zero-budget animation thrown in is distracting. Just CG the whole thing and be done with it already. |

| This was the first episode where the CGI really bugged me. It's a shame. The Apostle & his hounds were pretty cool. But the CGI really showed it's limitations when the demon was talking to Guts with the sword in his mouth. Such an important character could've used a little more handdrawn frames. Also, I don't understand why they removed the nipples. This isn't exactly a show for kids, so I can't imagine that they did it to keep the shows age-rating under a certain threshold. If you're gonna have an episode with a naked lady for 15 minutes straight, why remove them? Anyways, the story in this episode was still superb. The fact that the Apostle kept half of the body of his former Master on the wall was pretty twisted. The part with possessed Farese and that horny horsedemon as well. Typical Berserk. Fucked up demons doing fucked up shit. The episode did end a bit confusing with Farese wanting to kill Guts. I mean sure, I guess her mind's a bit broken after witnessing all that. Especially as a previous non-believer. But Guts is the only reason she's still alive. I don't really know what to make of the "casual" duel between Guts and that Sepico (?) dude either. It all happened so fast and during the end credits nonetheless. All in all, a good episode, but the lack of nipples & the mediocre CGI bugged me this time. Especially compared to the last part, with the old king and princess Charlotte. That looked way better. I thought she would've gotten pregnant from Griffith's one night stand, but I guess not? Also, in the sneakpeek to next episode Casca looked a bit browner again? Or did I imagine it? | So this moment has appeared in the anime in altered form, compared to the source material, eh? CGI was bad, so was direction. It was fun to watch only because I am familiar with the manga and because this anime has really nice music and very good voice acting. So far, at least. |
