| The beginning felt pretty rushed and it made it obvious that it was skipping stuff since we never saw Souma and Megumi visit those kids like they mentioned but still a strong start. Liked the entire idea of what a bento box is mean to be. The scene with the old lady was pretty touching to see. That opening was hype! |

| ooooooOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH I WAS SO HYPED FOR THIS. AND I'M SO HAPPY SEEING THEM AGAIN. And they didn't waste any time getting back into the action, oh how happy I am. The music is once again wonderful, even if it is the same music, but it's been a while since I heard it. That was an incredible first match, and so early into the season. Intro was awesome as well. The foodgasm is strong, I look forward to next week, and now I want food. |

| You guys, the fact that some of you are saying that they adapted FOUR manga chapters in one episode makes me wanna read the manga sooo baaaad! Also YOOOO what an amazing episode! I really missed this anime. There are few that get my this excited and make me giggle and drop my jaw. I can't wait for the next episode ^^ |

| They skipped out on a lot. Made Alice getting eliminated rushed. So far I'm not happy with the first episode. The food porn is still spot on though. That's a nice picture. |

| I'm a little sad that they skipped the chpaters where Megumi and Souma were cooking with the children, but, like mentioned prior, I am glad they referenced it. A lot of people are saying they rushed it, but I think it was good that they did. It picked up right where it left off and I believe that was a smart decision. Furthermore, if this season is really only going to 13 episodes then I am glad they are going at a faster pace. |

| What a great first episode to welcome us back into the wonderful anime known as Shokugeki no Soma! I'm super happy it got right back into the swing of things, lovely episode. |
| And thus we see the return of the foodgasims. Was pleasantly surprised that they immediately went to the knockout stages of the autumn elections, and even showed the first round in all it's glory from the onset. Alice had some nice ideas, but she seriously failed to capture the meaning of a bento. Had this been another challenge, I wouldn't be that confident in putting my money on Souma to progress as easily as he did. Ah well, Next match is also epic. Just glad this is already back. |

| No pause in the action, the series kicks off right into the fray with a fierce battle between Alice and Souma. Since this is just a continuation of the first season there doesn't seem to be anything new. The outrageously and unbelievably exaggerated action scenes were amazing as always, Souma being the dense baboon he is provided several comedic moments, and of course, the judges become slightly more insane every bite they take. Let's go, I'm ready for more. Bring it on. |

| Awesome way to start the new season, we get right into the action! Soma vs Secret Best Girl. I knew Alice's cold and heartless way of cooking would catch up to her eventually. But I do feel for her always being in the shadow of Erina. I'd love to see Alice beat her one day. I had no issues with this one. I'm so hyped to see more. |
| IT"S FINALLY HERE! The anime that'll make our mouths(and prolly something else too) all wet again. Good to see we're not wasting any time and jumping straight into the heat of the autumn elections. Heck, if you were to put the 1st season and this together it feels more like a 2nd cour than a 2nd season. Didn't expect Alice to get K.O.'d by Souma with every single judge voting in his favor though, but I'm happy about it since she needed to get knocked down a peg or two - that chick was way too sure of her victory. |
| Maybe this episode was kinda rushed but it was awesome nonetheless. The thing is, it's not a bad thing it was so fast paced because it catches our absolute attention right away, without letting us relax a bit. Having said that, I hope that the upcoming episodes are better paced. The pacing in the first season, especially the second half of it was spot on. Really hope it becomes 2 cour like the first season did. |

| I get that they have to impress the audience for the first episode but it feels kind of rushed. Definitely enjoyed the manga more for this one, but this was still a pretty good episode. 8/10 for now |

| It was nice to watch these characters again since the first season. I do agree that it is rushed, but I still very much enjoyed it anyway. Although it'll be weird with the current pacing, I'll probably still have fun with it. It would be nice if they slowed down a bit, but I'm not sure if that's possible considering that there's only going to be one cour. Either way, we still have the manga, I suppose :P |

Stop complaining and enjoy the ride and food :) I think the biggest thing, for manga readers, is that they adapt the stagiaire arc right and don't rush through it, since it's not only really cool but also important to develop the supporting cast. I'd rather have very rushed elections than packing the whole stagiaire arc in 1 or 2 episodes, since it's overall more important for the future than the elections, but we'll have to wait and see. |

The other things they cut were mostly preparation and altering some scenes which weren't too important. Overall it makes it feel pretty rushed but it's actually not that bad compared to other adaptations, with the 13 episode limit they had to fit the whole thing into one episode and I think they did an overall okay job. If you go through the manga panels and compare them to the anime, at least during the cooking contest itself, it was almost panel by panel for the most part. Most of the hype for this match came from a few intense panels anyway, not from a grand buildup. I'll re-read the next chapters for the next episodes and if they keep the pacing I'll be okay with it as long as they leave enough space at the end of the season for the stagiaire arc (or leave it for s3 or something). Let's knock on wood that they adapt the aftermath of Soumas match aswell. |
| Is Souma ever going to lose? I think not. The show will be about his opponents showing incredible cooking techniques and the judges (or whoever is sampling their food) will show a reaction which is lackluster compared to the reactions Souma's dishes are going receive. I enjoy the series because I love cooking and I love food but it's no different from action/fighting Anime/manga where the main character is undefeated and no his father doesn't count. That's a running theme in most series, the main character is undefeated but is unable to defeat their mother/father/grandfather/uncle/goat etc. Fanservice for both the girls, boys and foggies. The Ed/OP song whatever it was, was okay. |
