| I don't see why the CP9 put up with Spandam's shit. Surely a highly-trained, professional group of spies could easily dispose of such a buffoon with people being none the wiser. I wonder if they plan to. I actually really like Spandam's design though. |

| This was another fun episode, until the end that is. Luffy avoiding a hundred soldiers in a game of whack-a-Luffy was pretty hilarious, as was his “Sorry, you missed” when the navy missed him with a bazooka. Zoro and Sanji had some great moments together this episode. I adore the nickname “Pirate A”, it was such a good rebuttal to Sanji making fun of him for being an underling. I love Zoro’s undying confidence and will to fight and his ability to not hesitate even in the face of being absolutely surrounded. In fact he even smiled about it and said very arrogantly “so what?”. And following that the shipwrights saved the day and it was awesome. I loved the track that went along with it. We got some more awesome Sogeking and Chopper moments, notably when Usopp realized his mask came off, screamed, and somersaults his way to putting it on. Nami showed off the new and improved weapon with dial augmentation and it was like a natural disaster. At some point she’s going to be able to cause floods and stuff, I swear. That is, if she can’t already. I think Kokoro and Chimney and Gonbe are the cutest One Piece characters. I love how Chimney mimicked Kokoro’s laugh when she told the navy they were hostages. The Straw Hats are finally trying to meet up with Luffy once more. Contrary to all this awesomeness and teamwork, we had one horribly tone shifting ending. Spandam, who before this was like a less humourous Buggy- meaning dumb at his own expense and not self aware about it, turned into a maniacal, evil laugh, grossly animated monster who punched Robin directly in the face. He was offended when Robin asked the very question I too had wondered, why would Aokiji give him [an absolute evil joke of an antagonist] that authority. Being insecure about being a wimp he punches an already tied up woman in the face as strong as he can. What a pathetic person. And then he mocked her for being a useless sin if it wasn’t for him to give her purpose, and it just made me want Franky to remind her once more that IT’S NOT HER FAULT. She should be proud of herself no matter how others pin her. |
| Luffy managing to escape from the Marines by letting them collapse the cliff edges on their own was really funny and Nami's Perfected Clima Tact was pretty damn impressive~ Usopp (ahem, Sogeking) being the butt of jokes again was a pleasantly amusing sight. It's really great to see that he's acting more and more like his old self again. It's gonna be a priceless moment when Chopper and Luffy realizes who that mysterious stranger really is. Fuck you, Spanda. An incompetent and power-hungry person like him punching the likes of Nico Robin while she's in no position to fight back was low of him. |

A cool and useful weapon if you ask me Lmao Mixed Spandam feelings. | Luffy needs to beat the shit out of that Spandam guy i swear to god, a character that i thought would only exist for one episode because he was a stereotypical weak egocentric asshole turned out to be a reoccuring character that's still weak, and yet his annoyingness somehow increased. The audacity of him to punch Robin, had she not given up she would've split him in half before he could even blink. |
