| I can't stop blubbering.. Every episode made me tear up. 9/10 If this show was any longer, I wouldn't have been able to breathe through my sobs. This was definitely a series made to tug endearingly on the heartstrings of people who grew up a little lonely, but with a cat companion. |

| It was nice, nothing exceptional but worth the few minutes it takes to watch. The post-credit introducing the cat from the original as a reincarnated Daru was a surprise, I thought the heroin's longer hairs were simply a blink to Shinkai's short piece. 4/5 Overall: 6/10 like the first one. I don't think it was supposed to be sad since the conclusion is happy: after all, the woman can go on with her life after she resolved her problems (wich will lead to another problem despite the optimistic change of colour between cats ^^). |

| This show hits home for me since I also own a fluffy old cat. It was very touching knowing Daru waited for the time where his owner and her mother would finally reconcile and how he always expressed that he dearly loved his owner. 9/10. |
| This show definitely is designed to assassinate the emotions of anyone who has owned a pet for a very long time. One of my cats I've had since before I was born just died last month, so you best know I'm drowning in feels right now. It's not even just specific to cats, it could even apply to a turtle or something, this is melodrama done right. |

| My cat I've had for 10+ years died last year. Cats don't die like that... Other than that, the post-credit scene gave me a dumb grin. It's a nice thought. -- Episode 3 left me crying since I could relate the moments where my elderly cat couldn't do many of the things he could in his youth. I remember one moment a few weeks before he died, when I saw him trying to jump onto the bed and only end up clawing the side because there was no strength in his hind legs to make it up anymore. And now I'm tearing up at the memory. T__T So episode 4 doesn't win the cake from me, but the series as a whole was very good for ~30 mins. Glad she moved forward with her life though. |

Daru used the phone to call her mom and god dammit why he had to die i remembered my cat he died 2 years ago manly tears were shed during this episode at least she found a job and moved on and she found a new cat yes!! |

| This was a really enjoyable/Relaxing show. Wish it was a little longer tho. Nonetheless, i liked it. 6.5/10 |
| Dammit Shinkai, you've done it again you genius! The conclusion to this and the tie in with the original short was beautiful. The emotions depicted in this mere 7 and a half minutes was strong and pure. He even managed to throw in his customary panoramic world images near the end there. The love and bonds shown between Daru and She was overtly overflowing from the show. Even though I'd never owned a pet myself, I could somehow relate to how she felt, and strangely also how Daru felt as well. Again mad props to Shinkai. First Byousoku 5 CM, then the original OVA and now this. I have yet to watch Kotonoha no Niwa but it's high on my list right now. Oh and one more thing: Hana Kanazawa I love your beautiful acting! |

| I didn't realize that Daru had past away until the part where the girl thought he was curling up with her in bed. Had to rewind it back to the part where he falls asleep on her shoulders and never wakes up again. It was pretty sad, but not having a pet I can't relate like some of the posters here. When Daru was talking about the train, it reminded me of an old anime called "Night of the Galactic Railroad." It's about a train that carries these anthropomorphic cats to the afterlife. |

| Some kind of accident leads to their reconciliation and because Daru 'got his own wish granted' (this is just some sort of interpretation), he can rest easy. Miyu moves on with her life and finds him again. This time he's white Everything flows. <3 |

| Almost thought she committed suicide for a second, idk I had a bad feeling. But no, instead the cat died. And he died honorably, giving Miyu one last push before he closed his eyes. And I guess, he was reborn and the original Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko was him with her grown-up form. its fate. Cats have multiple lives, or so the legend goes anyway. Simply beautiful. 8/10 |

RIP Daru ;_; i wonder why they didn't show the scene where she was crying when she knew Daru died. that is the important scene tho....if they show that scene and on top of that with the ed song, i probably might cry ;_; and that after-credit scene somehow made me almost cry...she took another cat too X3 that is so sweet *happiness* (which is from the sequel. i watched the sequel first so i got a little bit confused in the after credit scene) XD i wish this show was longer but well, it was a really enjoyable/beautifull and emotional show 9/10. |

| Pretty simple, yet very powerful. The feels is strong with this one. Saddest part was when she was laying in her bed miss Daru T_T Glad she found a better life in the end. The last two episodes impressed me 8/10 overall. |

| I really like cats. So I really like this short anime about a girl and her cat. Was sad that Deru died, but at the end the girl adopted a new one. That makes me happy. |
