It will have 12 episodes in all. 6 episodes a season. A late 2017/Early 2018 release window is expected. Update:It has also been confirmed that the original creator and the original designer will be overseeing production. I have absolutely no idea what to say. I'm speechless. This is either a brilliant move or a disaster that will tarnish an anime masterpiece. The plot has been outlined here:  |

| I never asked for this. But, with Tsurumaki and The Pillows on board, plus a "years-later-sequel" thing, I could consider it. I mean, I enjoyed Diebuster and I imagine that got much the same reaction at the time. Here's hoping they don't mess it up. Good luck getting modern Gainax to produce something of worth, I.G. was basically the only choice, so I'm not too worried about that. Tentatively interested. |
