| Even though it's the most obvious thing in the world that Kaiji's card is slave, I didn't appreciate the cliffhanger either. It would have been nicer if they had just done the big reveal. On a happier note, Tonegawa finally broke down (and there was much rejoicing). It's actually quite similar to how most people lose at RPS; they start thinking in "what ifs" rather than their own intuition, and it becomes easy as hell to read their next throw. "I think he'll throw citizen." Is more likely a win than "What if he throws slave?" A good psychological ep. |

| Argh, I somewhat hate it when a series gets this good and makes me want to watch the raws rather than waiting for subs. Just can't wait! Triad's just too irregular with their releases, I guess. Again, seeing Tonegawa finally break down and see him taking Kaiji's 'place' was more than amusing at least. His sudden 'what ifs' made him change his cards so easily. Just like anyone would when they've got everything on the line. I've just got one thing against this episode. What's up with THIS cliffhanger? : < Just kept me begging for more. I wanna see the Tissue Box Raffle arc and know how it's done. : < |
| Aaarrgggghhh!! Cliffhanger from hell!! Other than the cliffhanger (one more week to wait..!), I thought it was a really great episode, distinctly different from the other matches where Tonegawa was just relying on his watch. It was great to finally see Tonegawa under the pump... PS: Has anyone else on this site read the manga? I freaked out during the preview for next episode... They aren't going to show 'THAT' scene are they...?!? (SHOCK!) |
| I can't say that I have, but Wikipedia has an entry on Tissue Box Raffle right under E-Card. So, I'm guessing that what can be seen in the preview IS the Tissue Box Raffle? |

| Wow, I didn't think they could top episode 20 but damn, this episode was INTENSE. Loved seeing Tonegawa totally break down into a shell of his former self and it almost seemed like Kaiji was the one running the show. Also, hearing the chairman's speech about protecting your lives and all that jazz almost made me want to go out and do something crazy, lol. This show is right up there with Full Metal Alchemist as the best show of the decade in my eyes, it's that good. Evil cliffhanger is evil!!! |
| Uber mind games going on. To me, it seemed like Kaiji and Tonegawa were more expressive in their facial expressions and voices in this episode, but maybe just because the stakes were so high. |

| wow, awesome episode. I predict... that Kaiji's card will be citizen! The remaining five episodes will be watching Kaiji writhe in agony as a drill goes through his brain. (Seriously though, how awesome would it be if it was citizen, and Kaiji manages to win somehow, anyway?) |
| I walked up one stupid mountain at my camping trip, just to find another annoying cliff when I get back home. Just in anime form. Awesome episode, but the cliffhanger leaves me annoyed. Good thing that 22 is already out. ^_^ |
| Looks like I predicted Kaiji's strategy exactly. To quote myself from ep 20 discussion thread: bluethree said: Kaiji meant for Tonegawa to see him "sneaking" a card away and will assume that card was the slave card. He saw Kaiji bleed on the other two, thinking that they are both citizens. Kaiji will play one of the bloodied cards, Tonegawa will assume it's a citizen and play emporer, Kaiji will reveal slave, Kaiji wins! Or at least that's how I think it'll go. |
