Needless because of the GARness, action, characters(especially Adam Blade), humor, and hilariously excessive panty shots. At the beginning it was just a fun, GAR, panty filled action show. But around the middle it the plot starts to deepen and become interesting.

Also what do you guys think of my new avatar pic and prof pic?
The peasant is bound by the king. The king is bound by the peasants and their kingdom. But the Viking is bound to nothing but themselves.

Definitely try Solanin, it's very short but has a great story that is relatable and is also in my opinion a good starting point for getting into Asano Inio's other works. Then try Subarashii Sekai and Umibe no Onnanoko if you enjoyed Solanin. You can tackle Nijigahara Holograph if you feel like reading something more challenging. His short story collections, Hikari no Machi and Sekai no Owari to Yoake Mae are also great. Feel free to read Oyasumi Punpun anytime, though it's quite long and requires full attention.

Gogo Monster is another very good short manga that deals with the coming of age and subconscious of an elementary schooler.

Not Simple is a story that spans nearly 30 years between Australia, England, and the U.S. all told in one volume that is quite complex underneath its seemingly simple narrative, recommended if you want something tragic.

Hideout is a nice little thriller that's worth it for the art alone.

Nickelodeon is a collection of very short and quirky stories drawn in a minimalist style, quite an enjoyable read in spite of its absurdity.

Believers is a short psychological drama that deals with the depth of human depravity in isolation, and the extremity of belief.

Marie no Kanaderu Ongaku is a surrealistic fantasy that focuses largely on the setting, and subtly tackles themes such as the coexistence of human and technology.

Woah there lil nigga, Hideout has much to offer than just art. I considered to be a better thriller than most manga garb that are out nowadays.

Best mangaka imo, his stories are well-crafted and relatable, most of his works deal with contemporary societal issues and individuality, though each of them contain varying degrees of angst.
