Who is this show targeted for?

Drugs are pretty good to take your mind of the character limit

At the risk of sounding like a Tumblr user, not all fujoshi are into shota. The demographics may overlap slightly, but lots of fujoshi steer clear of shota lol. And some people who are into shota only like shota, etc.

Most fujoshis I've read didn't like it. Fujoshis like other things. More mature things, if you know what I mean.

But yes, I think the few shotacons out there quite enjoyed it.

I dunno about fujoshi taste but if I were a fujoshi, the character design alone isn't appealing enough to even be an option. They're basically not bishounen enough.

That's never really bothered me really. Some of my ships involve characters that aren't really bishounen. Different tastes, though.

I think fujoshi is a wider term that refers to yaoi fangirl, that's why I use it.

Yep.
Though it got quite popular because people like to watch it as a joke for some reason.

That's the main problem of shota design. They all look like lolis with dicks. I've never read a shota manga that featuresa shota that actually looks like a boy.

I would guess josei, although BnP isn't an ordinary yaoi so it's much less inclusive.

/thread

Most people I know have watched it due to curiosity, a challenge or something of the sort anyways.

While the demographic would be different than with lolicon, it's basically the same thing, just with a character design that's a bit less popular by comparison. To which, there really is nothing wrong with it. The "outcry" against it are just people projecting their interpretation of what it means onto others combined with general insecurities and mob mentality. People in general seem to be attracted to platforms that let them feel self-righteous and morally correct compared to others, this is just an easy target for that kind of behavior since it's in some ways even more controversial than lolicon.

Logically though, the same arguments that apply to lolicon also apply to this: upto personal interpretation and thus reactions have subjective meaning rather than objective. No image is capable of "converting" someone into a pedophile due to the very definition of what a pedophile is, thus if someone is not attracted to real life kids but attracted to such art, that is evidence of the individual having a different interpretation of each one. And, while it's a weaker argument, it is true that being into fictional art with no significant relation to the real world is in fact, not hurting anyone in the real world.

tl;dr: A person acting like a silly SJW is still acting like a silly SJW even if the subject is lolicon or shota. One's need to feel morally superior to other human beings will never outweigh the cold hands of logic and science.

One of my favorite hentai anime. Pico is so cute.

Also, if you liked this anime then I recommend to watch Natsuyasumi. I lost control of my penis when I watched that one.

pretty much lol
most of the fujos I've met are into either very skinny cute bishounens (who look like high schoolers, haikyuu!!, free! for example) or somewhat bara bodies (tiger and bunny, kuroneko kareshi, hidoku shinaide for example). never met any (besides fudanshi) who are into shota.

Boku no Pico isn't yaoi though.
Homosexual can be broken down into three categories:
Shota
Shounen-ai/Yaoi
Bara
