| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- VII is the best one so far. Hell, it is flawless! Ideal. The original manga chapters was adapted perfectly, gamma of filings and impressions, the music selection is perfect, the way it was drawn is perfect (looks like the way it's drawn is getting better and better each episode even if you think it's impossible to top some OVA the next one still manages to blow your mind). Even the ending was awesome enough to top all previous endings in my eyes. The best episode, episode of the year, the best anime of all times! Yup, I'm such a fanboy. |

| Agree. That was fuc**** awesome ep. When Pip died I almost cry (btw that was kiss of the year^^)and can't stop smile when Seras subsequently killed Zorin. And yes ED was the best. |

It was censored from monthly magazine release (or even wasn't drawn for chapter 51 at the first place), but then Hirano added two extra pages for complete Volume 7 release. |

| Mind-bogglingly gory and fun. Agree best OVA yet. All it lacked as Alucard. Seras was epic. EP was very good too. Just thought I'd add that there is a small 2 minutes sequence AFTER the ending credits, so watch until the very end. |

| Truely a exceptionally awesome OVA, by far the best in the series, a 5/5 from me! Also, who is more badass, Pip or Seras? Ater watching this I can't quite decide who showed the highest level of badassery. |

| Splendid, as anticipated. Good to see they didn't forget the blood tasting game either, though I don't recall seeing the scene where Ceras sticks her powpow into some vamps mouth. Also, it was bugging me for a while, does someone recognize the weapon one of the surviving Geese had? It's been on the tip of my tongue a while now. The next episode will likely be the best of the lot, with crusaders and Alucard returning in force. Hope it comes out fast. |
| Am I the only one that thought the whole episode was overkill? *ducks a flying shoe* I do agree that the animation quality was excellent, better than the last ones, but this particular fight has been going on for waaaaaay too long! Seriously, the Captain's death scene lasted like 3 hours! It seems that the makers are trying to really insist on the despair of the Hellsing siege situation, but honestly, all it made me feel was 'Ok, the situation is bleak, we get it already!' All the prolonged shots of the human soldiers whining about how they were all going to die while their Captain called them pussies, it was so predictable and overdone. I feel like I've seen scenes like that in like everything that I watch... The whole episode felt like all I was seeing was people after people shooting at each other (and then explode all over the walls)... I don't know if I'm asking too much, but anything resembling a plot would be appreciated at this point. I get that they're trying to create some kind of 'hardcore' genre here, but it's getting really repetitive. And wtf's up with that horrible Seras flashback? There was absolutely no character development throughout the whole show (except for Mrs. Hellsing perhaps) and then we get slapped with this horrible scene right at the end of the episode? I never knew Seras had anything so traumatic happen in her life with her happy attitude... It's really a wonder she isn't shoved in some institute with witnessing something like that. I thought she was just some boobs with guns... I really had a problem with that necrophiliac rape scene. I'm all for liberty of expression, but that was disgusting and unnecessary and in bad taste. THAT is taking the 'hardcore' genre in a bad place. I really didn't want to see THAT! It's one thing to have characters making innuendos, but a whole other thing to actually include the act in the show... And the Nazi boss at the end making his speech... again I felt it was more repetition from the other episodes. Blah, blah, death, blah, destruction, war, blah.. *ducks another flying shoe* We get it, Nazis are evil! Now, how about some plot development? Anyway, sorry if people aren't happy with this review, but this is constructive criticism. I've enjoyed most of the other OVA episodes, just not this one... :P |

| Finally i have been waiting for this to be animated. Seras is one of my favorite characters and this episode did a lot of justice to the manga. Overall a great episode, i hope the next one comes out quickly as well. |
| Yes, indeed, that was the shit. The guys bitching about the flashbacks being "tasteless and forced" have apparently never seen Elfen Lied, which sets the standard for such bullshit. Can't wait for the next episode. |

| This episode was the best so far in my opinion. Rivers of blood, lots of gore and even necrophilia mixed with a bit of romance. That`s what I wanted to see on New Year`s eve. |
| Holy crap on a stick was that a great episode! The mood, the artwork, the sound, fabulous!. The only negative, now we gotta wait for the next one! Definitely going to re-watch this one several times. |
