For a moment I thought I was watching a wrong anime.

For some of the questions, I had the same thought process as Vincent, the other half I cringed at how dumb he was. He would say answers that directly contradicted with the information given.

This was one of the most unique episodes I've seen. Although it's very random, it provided some insight and background information about the setting of the story and the nature of Proxy, so I cannot call it a filler since it did give us as much information as other episodes. If game shows were this entertaining, I would watch them.

WTF ? i know that the messages are old, but I just created an account because I don't understand how some of you can call it a shitty episode when you didn't even get all the information it gave us. Seriously, I think that this episode is great, and it was really refreshing to see that kind of exposition in an anime, it was fun and clever, I'm so glad that it wasn't just some random mysterious guy explaining the fate of the world from A to Z during a boring monologue.

Yeah the format was strange in the beginning, maybe you didn't like it, you have every right to do so, but don't call it a shitty filler because you weren't able to get all the useful information that it gave (+ it's so obvious, i don't get how some of you could not see it).
Now, my only concern with this, is that i've watched Ep 16 yesterday and it felt strange that the characters didn't talk about what happened in Ep 15.

I loved how this episode had a really trippy feel to it, like a very weird incomprehensible dream. It was weird how everyone wore masks and the host acted so weird, it's like everyone knew something that Vincent, Re-L and Pino didn't. Like the calm before the storm. I'm really looking forward to this "special surprise announcement" in the next episode.
The afternoon has gently passed me by
The evening spreads its sail against the sky
Waiting for tomorrow
Just another day
God bid yesterday goodbye...

Filler? No I don't think this is a filler episode whatsoever since it gave us so much information regarding the world around Ergo Proxy and how humanity has survived and evolved. And it was a blast to see through the Q Q Q! I enjoyed the sh*t out of it.

This episode amazes me. It takes an incredible amount of talent, and genius-level intelligence, to put that much good world-building and information into an episode....

....and still make it feel like filler so bad even Naruto would be ashamed to air it.

Huh...well, that certainly happened. I'm quite sure a huge amount of plot was disclosed, but...why? It was so unceremonious and offhanded. Was it trying to be funny and quirky? Was it really appropriate for a show like this, or was it done for the juxtaposition between the life or death game and the game show atmosphere present? Also, the implications of broadcasting Vincent Law as being Ergo Proxy, showing Re-l not being dead, talking about the existence of 300 Proxies, and disclosing a number of historical facts that may or may not be fondly remembered by the Romdeau government? Uh, is this going to be brought back up in the future?

But I just like confused.. Am I watching the right show? xD
Boomerang project eh.. 85% lifeforms are destroyed eh

Well, the MC is so annoying actually
But I think that's pretty close to some of the real variety show MC xD

Yeah, I know. But the way they delivered the info was really awkward. I felt like I was watching another show.

Took me a bit before figuring out that it was a clever way of dumping information on us.
So there's acually 300 proxy's that's quite a bit.
Also, 85% is a LOT of people ...

I wonder if this proxy ... being the game host is just another way of them defeating proxy's?
Just like how we saw them defeating the proxy in the previous episode.

Vincent is not the brightest though.

Well that was... interesting. It surely was entertaining to watch, though I'm not quite sure how it's going to fit into the storyline later.

Apparently they don't even mention it in the next episode, so this episode was like a dream? I guess we can pretend it never happened and it won't affect our understanding of the story.

Either way. I agree that it gave us some relevant information, but I feel like it just confused me overall and left me wondering what the heck was going on, hahaha. Definitely a strange episode.

I just want to know the information with out watching this episode. Why is there no detailed synopsis just breif summaries that dont tell you anything? Please some one save my eyes and my ears from this horrible episode. It has been ten years some one HAS to have all the information that this episode holds.

This was a fun way to do world building. But I don't really know if the events in the episode are meant to be taken literally.

300 Proxies, huh. He said 3000 would have been trouble, but the Proxies we have are already a lot of trouble. And I wonder what happened to the evacuation ship (though I may have missed that).

I was really digging this episode up until after the commercial break when it was revealed the "quiz show" was actually taking place and being broadcast via satellite. If it had remained as an abstract, self-contained episode to build on the show's themes, it would have been much better in the end.

What a strange show. So often it's just hit or miss. Moments of brilliance and moments of disappointment.

Why is there no poll? ... probably for the best. 5/5 isn't enough for this one.

I've been looking forward to this episode.

This is why Ergo Proxy is so awesome!

Now we know what happened to the earth.

LOL Pino drew the pixelated image!

Edit:
I was wondering how much MAL-hate this one would get... can't say I'm surprised.
Also, in case you missed it, the entire episode was a Proxy battle.

Wow, the ending monologue of the last episode wasn't kidding when they said they would change the format of the show.

Not gonna lie, that would have been my answer too. Lol

And is that an Autoriev audience? Haha

We get fanservice. Kinda weird looking, but it's still fanservice nonetheless.

Why are they captured? Lol
And of course, Pino is imitating Lil. Haha

How is Vincent so stupid? General knowledge like that is fucking easy!

Good bye MCQ. You were the best one episode character ever.

I guess they were using this episode to test if we were paying attention to the plot. Haha

This show is getting worse by the episode.

everyone praising this terrible episode because it dumps information about backstory, as if that's all we watch shows for. anyone can tell you information. Creating interesting information worth telling is something else entirely. An entire episode were we watch nothing happen to learn a few "fun" facts about the world. show don't tell is not a thing here.

What in the absolute fuck just happened...

i was actually kinda ok with the exposition dump at first because i thought it was just Vincent having one of those weird ass dreams.
But then they showed the broadcast on TV and that this silly shit was somehow actually happening with no explanation whatsoever and that just ruined the whole episode for me.
