| so, that's why. i didn't know glasslip made by P.A. Works and that was one hell big disappointment for the watcher. i like the animation , even though the story was messed up. |

| While it's the worst anime of P.A. Works I still actually enjoyed Glasslip. Slice of Life and Romance are my favourite genre after all and that anime did cater to my taste perfectly. And lol at those who say nothing happened. The romance in Glasslip goes further than in most romance anime. |

| While I'm not particularly hate it, It is indeed a bad shows by my standard. Teasing us with a few plot point that looks interesting just to end without any of it resolved. The art and the sound was kind of superb tho, I love the ending song. |

| Lol I was really pissed after finished watching it. Was expecting a second version of Nagi no Asukara......but it turned out pretty bad. Made this thread pretty far back http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=1332627&show=0#post1 pretty much explains it. |

| Anime watchers have a very objective mindset and this show goes in the opposite direction. Subjective. Contemplative. It lacks direct messages/critic and progressions, but they are dilluted and we got to think about it - if we're inclined to go that far. As a product aimed to profit, its a challenge, and I'm happy it exists, its something that we can redirect to our life or experiences from the past. I understand the low rating, its necessary to change our mindset to see it from a different perspective. |

Don't tell me you got triggered by that last episode. As for topic, I'm usually very forgiving when it comes to anime, but watching Glasslip weekly was an ordeal in of itself. It was going for that DEEP romance starring a rather pretentious character. Not to mention it came after the well regarded Nagi no Asukara. When I get more enjoyment out of people shitposting an anime on 4chan than the show itself, then there's a problem. Guess PA Works learned their lesson because they followed it up with SHIROBAKO which is another great anime from the studio. One thing I notice about them is when they release a mediocre show, they make up for it with a good one afterwards. |

| The world was/is not ready for Glasslip. From the feeling what I got, it really is Nishimura's doing - nostalgic and melancholic, no emotion really overused but the idyllic one. I would even consider it Nishimura's oeuvre. I personally interpret Glasslip as some kind of art. On the surface it is something. Behind it, by facing the details and think over left and right, a whole new world is opened. What did Nishimura feel and think when he created Glasslip? We can only guess, and I didn't grasp it after rewatching. But, considering the characters release theirselves from some rule and bring theirselves into a whole new situation and learn about themselves like from anew, Nishimura might've intended to manifest his ideals, rather left-liberal ideals. I personally liked how Nishimura didn't imply that anything was a win or lose and how he support gaining experiences. Well, imo Nishimura intended to make people think about rules and love and how they're connected. Also, I loved the voice acting. It was pretty natural, which reminds me of Shinkai's preferences. Nishimura kept the voice acting similar in Windy Tales iirc. |
