| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- I thought episode was alright, felt like Hinata has some stress though. However, I liked the fact that it focused on a bit of the mechanics of their practice. Found that a bit neat. I think the episode's pacing felt a bit slow though in terms of progress but also important for the team to realize from their past experiences. Should be a nice way for them to learn so they can use that knowledge in future games. I just love Hinata's determination though.  |

| The half blocked his attack the 2nd time, and got main guy excited. His decision tensed everyone and they lost. Wow, HiroC's character is so straight. Everyone thinks that it's too soon to get main guy's decision to be successful. He was out the rest of practice. Practicing that shot with looking after returning. He still cannot catch up with that guy, so the argument again. |

| I wish we did get two episodes today, cause I wanna get to the next training camp already. Fukurodani match was too short, but at least we had excited Bokuto. Nekoma was good with the Lev thing going on and him looking so happy at that Yaku getting the ball in that quick scene. Covered ch80-82A |

| Really good drama in this episode. Can really feel the emotions. It's always tough to improve one's craft/skills in a team sport, especially if you're playing in a position where you need someone to 'feed' (like Hinata needing Kageyama to set balls for him). It looks selfish in a way, and especially with the prelims so near.. but i certainly hope they can pull it off. Actually got a staunch reminder that Hinata doesnt see the ball when they pull off their phantom quicks, which makes Kageyama even more amazing D: |

The whole episode I felt tears in my eyes honestly this scene.. The Kagehina break up was even more intense and violent than in the manga :( |

| Ukai's envision of Hinata being able to hit that at will, and with the two standing up on the tree like that was so cool-looking! Didn't really expect a fight like that and then Hinata referring Kageyama as his partner, was a wonderful depiction of the two's relationship. Being able to fight with someone is a very special case that involves intense emotions, the way Hinata cried a little was T.T While Kageyama said is true, but what Hinata's says is even truer. As being the winner is what matters, and even Kageyama's perfect toss alone just isn't enough to beat the strongest team. When Hinata is able to see everything is slow-motion like that with his spikes, it will be quite the sight to behold >.< The drama was really done well, the buildup was mostly done this episode, yet the drama was already so impacting as this tension takes everything that describes Haikyuu. |

| That fight was quite intense; it brought the previous mood back to their own shortcomings. The tension between the two hasn't been resolved yet, but I hope Hinata can somehow work it out. Good episode. |

| That's how drama should be done. Both Hinata and Kageyama have totally legit justifications. The evolution that'll result from this is gonna be epic. Dat fight tho. Damn, they were really serious there. Nice animation and pretty damn realistic fluid movements. Based Production I.G. Poor Yachi tho. Watching that fight not being able to stop them. Must've felt pretty scary for her. DAT Hinata and Kageyama on a tree with crows scene was F***ing EPIC!! Can't wait for Hinata's upcoming training. |

| Ahhh maaaaaannnnnnnnnnnn!!!!! Kageyama x Hinata fight was damn hawt!!! Inntennnse yo!!! eeeeeeep!!! Totally fluid animation too, wow, that stagger balance! Yum! And their anger was whooooooof! Change is scary, and to have the whole team evolve at the same time is scary too. But you know, if Hinata's problem is being distracted by the ball while he jumps, then one solution is to jump while closing his eyes, and right before the hit, open them! =D I hope he realises that soon, cos Kageyama is totally skilled to aim it for him. So it's just a sleight of Hinata's hand that will determine the balls trajectory. Those eyes!! Damn! Karasu go!!!!! | Wow the drama between Hinata and Kageyama in this episode was well done. Their voice actors did a great job portraying their emotions as well. Felt bad for Yachi though, having to witness that and not being able to do anything. I feel like this did a good job depicting one of the biggest issues of having more than one star player on the same team. Someone needs to make a sacrifice, but no one wants to make that sacrifice, which leads to tension and turmoil. I'm sure these two (and the whole team in general) will be much better once they overcome this. |

| I was very impressed by that little fight between Hinata and Kageyama, it was beautifully animated. Still, I feel like this is some unneeded drama just for the sake of it, which is something I don't really appreciate. Also, I'm not liking the direction of how they're making the team out to be very weak compared to all these new amazing teams when last season they had almost beaten the great king. Anyways, it'll be interesting to see how Hinata will deal with the fact he's not the ace. |

| This episode was too short for my liking. I loved the Hinata/Kageyama fight. I can't wait to see how they overcome this & grow from this experience. I felt bad for Yachi, out of all people who could've witnessed that it had to be the new manager. Great ep, I'm excited about Hinata's training. 4/5 |

| In my honest opinion, Hinata is completely right. He realised the same thing, I did when he was blocked by Lev so quickly - he needs to evolve. His perfect hit with Kageyama's perfect toss isn't working out lately. If you noticed, they are mostly blocked, their combo isn't such effective, as it was ealier, because everyone knows, what is their ultimate weapon and all of the teams keep focusing on it, so they can finally be able to read and block it. Hinata also realises that and he tries to change, to get stronger, because, as he said - if his perfect strikes are read already, there's no need for him to stay on the court any longer. But everyone are too scared, because prelims or whateveritscalled starts in ONE month, so Hinata PROBABLY won't be able to learn something new and powerful so quickly. But if Lev got so strong even without any trainings, Hinata can become an ace in this one month, I totally believe in him. A good start for a new thing in the plot, episode was really GREAT, the feels were just perfect. Tl;dr, I just got too hyped. |

| This episode was surprisingly intense. The quick strike keeps getting shot down and Hinata realises that he needs to evolve so he decides to try opening his eyes. However, Kageyama completely disagrees and tells Hinata that his will is not required. Their fight in the second half was pretty heartbreaking and very tension-filled. Kageyama threw Hinata down yet Hinata got back up and they went all out. Good thing Yachi went and got Tanaka to break up the fight. I felt bad for Yachi though; she saw the whole fight and even after hearing what Hinata said about Kageyama, she cried. Coach Ukai came to realise that maybe Hinata has the potential to improve the quick strike but having his eyes open. I hope they find a way to master it. 5/5 |

| I really felt for Hinata this episode. I understand that frustration. It's even worst when nobody believes in you. I mean he's not wrong because at the rate things are things will never change. He's such a great main character. I can't wait to see more of his growth. Though tbh I still think all this is a bit melodramatic. |

| Ended a little later than I thought it would, but I guess this works. Would've worked better if it ended just a little later. Ukai (possibly), Saeko and Nekomata all personally knew the Little Giant, yet none of them have said anything about it. Also, Takeda is 29 years old. Little Giant was in the team when Hinata was starting middle school. He'll be near his early 20s at best. |
