| Well this was rushed as all hell. Again. Holy shit, the pacing issues with this show are only overshadowed piss poor choreography and immature direction approach targetting teenagers(fanservice, fanservice and more fanservice, nothing else). If I had to describe this episode in one word, it would be: anti-climatic. Another word? Hollow - Miyu's scenes were hollow and emotionless with no build up. - Saphire stepping in at the end to fix everything was anticlimatic and rushed(HOW do you make a magic wand NUKING EVERYBODY's MEMORIES look BORING?). - Cutting away to them all going home right when they did was anticlimatic as all hell for the fight over SHirou. - Bazett's encounter with Rin and Luvia was anticlimatic, rushed and lacked the punch it should have had. That is the problem with the whole adaptation. They are just "covering" things as in a play, altering things for worse, rushing other things. No emotions, no tension, no visual cues or depth. Just things happening for no reason. Without context, without any sort complexity. As it stands the adaptation is completely hollow and shallow emotionless. A visual fest lacking ingenuity in the usage of said visuals. 3/5 for tatsuko alone. |

| Episode sympathetic than the previous year, the mix of serious and comic sides can not do it to become commonplace but not too serious. Good authors in making delight from fresh and pleasant narration even in the obvious or the beginning where it is proposed in view of the same scene in the first episode, in which Tattsun and the other girls run toward the sea, really nice vignette. LOL @All: Thank you people, I missed your humor when I was on vacation and away from MAL. :D |

| Bazett is aggressive as usual, even with selling popsicles. She forced the poor children to buy some. As she told her story, I almost felt sorry for her. Tatsuko overdid it again. Embarrassing swimsuits as birthday presents. Meeting the duo of mischief already spelled trouble. It's funny how everyone looked like a Buddha, but Tatsuko looked like a demon. That Shiro wouldn't kiss Illya was obvious. No non-yuri kisses in this anime. Bazett screaming amidst the confusion "who wants popsicles" was hilarious. |

| The payoff was so worth it, pure wackiness the whole way through, best beach episode I've seen in a while, hahahahaha. Fuckin' hell, Ruby. I had thought Unlimited Blade Works was a powerful ability, but this!  This is something else! Miyu really is the most engaging when development is considered, as well as story. Seeing her having fun is really nice. Everyone got their own time to shine in this episode, though! Even Issei, who had some really funny moments as well! Overall, really fun episode. Would happily accept another episode or even a couple of pure fun but I'm expecting the story and action focused episodes will likely kick in pretty soon. |
