Should I show my friend (who knows nothing about the Fate universe) Fate Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works?
| Yes, you can. But still, starting from the Fate route is highly recommended. But the anime version is kinda old and bad, so whatever, skip it. Watching Fate/Zero or Stay Night first is prefference. Each of them spoiler themselves D: I kinda preffer starting from Fate/Stay Night. So, watch UBW, then go for Fate/Zero, if he likes it. |

I agree with this 100% Start F/SN UBW (which is absolutely not crap so ignore everyone who says it is), then if they like it move on to F/Z, and if they still want more they can fill in the gaps by playing the visual novel. |

| The visual novel is the best experience. The anime adaptations just don't do justice to the worldbuilding and characterization of the VN. But with that said, UBW is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. If he doesn't want to get spoiled, either watch UBW and wait for Heaven's Feel, or just read the VN (the preferable option). Though if we're only talking about anime, then Fate/Zero is the best you'll get out of the Fate series in anime form. NewAgeOtaku15 said: You can show him the series.
