| I recently got into Kantai Collection a couple months and I really like the franchise. I played a bit of the game, watched the anime, and read some doujin and fanfics. I read somewhere that the characters are based off Japanese ships in WWII. However, I realized that most the ships sunk and were destroyed by the end of WWII. Reading this pained me as I love the girls of KanColle. I also watched a presentation at a convention panel showing a timeline when the ships were built and when they were destroyed. The presentation moved fast, but while watching it, it broke my heart seeing most of the girls getting "destroyed" I was wondering, what/who were the surviving ships after WWII, they dont even need to be in the game |

| well, in history,after ww2, most of japanese ship are neglected because they don't have money for upkeep and repairing, and most of them are more expensive to repairing than make new one. and then america use it for nuclear test in pasific. |
