| Actually a good episode. Only took 24. It didn't make me laugh, but the actual plot is extremely sweet. Considering that anime usual treats LGBT people somewhere between "derision" and "hate crime", I wasn't expecting this to handle it so well. It's like they're people too, or something. Increased my rating for the show from 1 to 2 for this episode. Still awful, but at least this was good. |

| Alright, I can say for sure that I really enjoyed this episode I thought that it was pretty funny that Gintoki and Zura were both forced to become Mopette and Zurako, and ngl, they both don't look that bad as females, especially Zura I also really liked the other people who were part of the girly boy club as well, although they do seem to be weird, as Teruhiko said, they're all really good people, and his mom/dad is also a pretty badass person as well. I also really liked hearing about Teruhiko's side of things as well, I personally thought that the speech that he made at the end of the episode was pretty touching as well I personally thought that this episode was really funny and pretty touching, and I really like that; definitely excited to see what's next! |
| I liked Teruhiko and his kabuki group, living the way they want to without caring about other people's insults. Zura actually looks great in that outfit and the makeup. Yes Majin buu you shouldn't have come to earth in the first place you fat piece of shit. |

| I think it was a very good episode all around, the spirit matters more than the appearance. The nouns are all weird with them mixing the okasa and obacha and all that, but considering it is in Japan and written at least some decades ago, it is fine, gender has been seen differently depending on the time and the place. The whole reason for Otose to say "I had to be a mom for that kid and I went too far" its also a funny cartoon exaggeration that provides enough context without having to dive deep into the whole topic. The flow of this episode was also still very weird, but apparently it was parodying a movie if one of the comments is accurate, so maybe I should get used to that kind of thing in this show? I feel this is based a lot in gender non confirming people with fewer resources that end up doing sexual work to survive, I remember in a reunion of trans people that I saw one of them between us and I realized the world is a lot bigger than what you would think, since our experiences were so different. I did appreciate that when Otose-san told them they could come back and would get special service with a wink, they didn't act creeped out, they just were like "okay" and Katsura saying that they are the same as samurais, just having a different path to take, was great. Also Katsura... Zurako.... looked really REALLY cute as a girl... I hope this doesn't awaken any writing fanfic urges on me...  |
