| "Miura, it is penultimate episode. What do we do? "We will give Shirou 5 minute monologue out of nowhere that had no build up at all!" "But viewers kind of don't give a shit about Shirou since he is a blank slate and people don't have any connection to him, so why?" "Eh Shirou is stupid anyway and we need to fill episode with something before he does a shonen-y lightning filled hotblooded speech and does UBW." "But won't that feel like asspull since we never explained how UBW works" "Visual storytelling, yo~!" "So that's like 70% of episode, what else?" "let's add some anime original bullshit content of Grail Titan! Visual Storytelling Yo!" "Since we are going full on visual experience will we faithfully animate the fight scene with Shirou swordraining against GOB?" "Nah we will just have him deflect all swords by hand because lol why not" "You are genius Miura!" Well this was rushed as all hell. Again. Holy shit, the pacing issues with this show are only overshadowed piss poor choreography and immature direction approach targetting teenagers(lightning, shouting, screaming, short attention span focus for various scenes, explosions, etc). If I had to describe this episode in one word, it would be: anti-climatic. Another word? Hollow - Shirou's flashback was hollow and emotionless with no build up. - The Casting of UBW was anticlimatic and rushed(HOW do you make the casting of UBW look BORING?). - Cutting away to Saber by the grail was anticlimatic as all hell for SHirou fight. - Saber destroying the grail and fading away was anticlimatic, rushed and lacked the punch it should have had. That is the problem with the whole adaptation. They are just "covering" things as in a play, altering things for worse, rushing other things. No emotions, no tension, no visual cues or depth. Just things happening for no reason. Without context, without any sort complexity. As it stands the adaptation is completely hollow and shallow emotionless. A visual fest lacking ingenuity in the usage of said visuals. 3/5 for emiya OST alone. I hope you all enjoyed Fate Say Rin the show with Rin as main character and there's only one episode left of Main Character Mary Sue Rin and her dumb sidekick Shirou;. |

| One of the better episodes, the duel was actually good(though the UBW casting was a bit rushed and....dull), all the remixes were nice to hear. Could've done without that last GOB bit with Shirou on the floor, the scream rage and Rho Aias surfing but otherwise really well handled, 4/5 |

| Although I agree with some of Fai's points,this episode was imo one of the best episodes in this anime,mainly because the content is just excellent. EMIYA was great. Archer though :( Next week finale. |

| Hell yeah ! Been waiting for this moment, Shirou beats the crap out of that loli killer while Emiya's theme is playing, it'd be even better if they had done more melee fighting scenes. Great ending, all that left is an epilogue episode. |
| Good episode. Saber's Excalibur was cool. Unknown to death Archer had a nice come back. And the fight between Archer and Shirou ws good. I wonder how the epilogue will be. |
