| I liked The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, so much that I staked out Amazon for a year and a half to try and buy it for a price that wasn't over $100. It was great seeing everything in the TV series build up into the movie's plot. It was great seeing the characters actually grow and change, with various scenes and monologues giving them extra dimensions. And, it was also great seeing Kyoani going all out with a theatrical release. They've always done well with making things look nice, but holy crap did things look pretty this time around. Lastly, Disappearance also gets points for being a psuedo-Christmas film, which gives it a sense of time and place, apart from the perpetual spring and summer. But no it's not the best movie ever. That would be something from Satoshi Kon, Mamoru Oshii, or Ghibli, and even then I'd think there's something better out there. |
| Its one of the better ones for sure and probably the best that's part of a franchise and not stand alone. |

| It is a good movie, but it isn't objectively the best anime movie. However, it is objectively the longest animated movie. |

For example, I found Black Butler to be boring and it SUCKS that I wont re-consider as a re-watch |

| One of the best, for sure. KyoAni movies based on their series are generally great. My favorite movie is probably SotS, Spirited Away, or KnK 5/7 though. |
