It's not often in a work of fantasy that the all powerful Dark Lord gets defeated right off the bat. Still, I guess this will allow them to explore a variety of story types which I think will help keep things interesting. |

| A 10 ep storyline finished. Didn't expect that but hey it was still good. Demon King was surprisingly civil in death. Another unexpectation. Sad to see Xel leave but someday he'll be back. Now what is to come in the next 13 episodes? |

| Hmm. I wonder if there are any mages in this universe that can call upon the power of the gods rather than the power of the monsters. Lina’s black magic relies on the latter and Zel’s shamanist magic seems like a “neutral” type, but neither can use the power of the dragons as far as I can tell. Regardless, it was a fairly interesting episode. I wonder where the Sword of Light originated? It seems quite powerful. I’m actually glad they didn’t drag this arc out unnecessarily. It’ll likely give the series more variety. |
| I wasn't expecting that this arc would only last 10 episodes, but it was still a pretty good watch. Looking forward what else this series has to offer. |

| @FMmatron Well, the light novels are rather short. Add to that the various "simplifications" (some introductory books with their own story reduced to a mere episode for example) or necessary changes (part of the original comedy lies in Lina's first person narration for example,or the addition of 100% comedic episodes) and you can't last for more than a dozen episodes. You'll get a structural change once the anime will leave its novel origins with Slayers Try but I still like the dual stories recipe of the first series, where both scenari are linked. edit: also, the fact they only had to fight a mere portion of a Lord contributes to the shortness. (had it beenafull poweredone, this would have lookedridiculous by the way) |

| Looks like they've finally made their way to Atlas City. Kind of sad to see Lina and Gourry part ways with Zelgadis; I really hope he'll make another appearance later in the series. Judging from the episode preview, we'll get to see some of the other characters in the OP in the next episode. It looks like it'll be a lot of fun, so I'm excited to see what adventures they'll have in the city. |
| Most intense and epic episode thus far. Sad to see Zelgadis go I hope he comes back so his story arc completes. |
