Wonder how Sly will obtain Stardust Dragon, or obtain it at all. |

| Aki, Rua, and Ruka go to the Academia now. I thought Aki was already past high school age, and not to mention I don't think Crow, Yusei, or Jack got any official schooling. I kept expecting hear a "-nano ne" after everything Heitmann said. The guys hanging out with kids is always a fun sight to see. Nice to see the Gear Golems again. They seemed to have gotten new support cards, too. Gx got a winged kuriboh and 5ds gets a winded watapon, nice. |

This wasn't the same Duel Academy from GX; it was obvious just by looking at it since this one was located in Neo Domino City, not on a volcanic island in the Pacific Ocean. Sly literally looked like Divine's reincarnation lol, and it's weird how his interest in Stardust Dragon never amounted to anything later on. I thought the writer tried too hard to make Heitmann seem like Chronos. I mean I can appreciate a callback, but in this case it just felt reductive since I hate the Ancient Gear archetype lol. Also how convenient that he drew all 3 copies of AGG on his first turn. :/ |

| Duel Academy returns. I was going to criticize Leo for losing his match when he has the OP Power Tool Dragon, but I guess they made him play with an archetype he's not used to. I guess Luna has a crush on this cocky kid, who nearly stole Stardust Dragon. I hope he tries to duel Yusei and gets crushed. It was actually kind of amusing that they tried to trick Yusei into "fixing" Heitmann. And, I was actually okay with Heitmann trying to expel a whole class until he started criticizing Batteryman AA. Batteries were one of my favorite decks. |
