Basically, you got the backstory in ep1. So, the anime is following the game's story, what little there is. I think most of the negative guys expected the anime to be something it doesn't try to be. Defeated by their own expectations. |

| I have never played the game and I loved Kongou before the series began (based on her design), and now when she had an episode I love her even more. She is hilarious with her broken engrish. And the introduction part with her sisters was funny. |

Similar to how Sword Art Online got a lot of hype and, as a result, other people began to slam it for no other reason than it being popular. SAO was very average in virtually every area while excelling in others. Neither the excessive hype nor hate was warranted. Kantai is no different. "WTF, why is this series so popular? I hate that I'm seeing it everywhere so I'm going to bash it without knowing much about it because that means I'm not a mainstream weeb!" Okay |

| Good episode It was a mixed of hapiness, comedy and tragedy towards the end. Kongou seems one energetic girl! I lol'd when she said "Shit" She does sounds like Aya Hirano at times. Naka vs Kongou Idol battle! Shame they didn't show the battle nor the outcome :P Though i notice pretty much the sisters and most of the characters have the same seiyuu. Even Kisaragi and Mitsuki have the same seiyuu or those lovers Kitakami and Ooi, but they sound completely different :O Though i was surprised why would Fubuki just stand their in the middle of battlefield. Kongou just slap that missile like it was nothing. I hope Fubuki will take this war seriously or she can end up like Kisaragi. Can't wait for the next episode! |

| Nao Touyama galore this episode! KOngo sisters are pretty amusing, each with different quirks. But why does Kongo talks like that though? Kinda annoying.. her scene when saving Fubuki was pretty badass though Next ep, did I just heard Kaga's voice? :s |

| I've never played kancolle, but definitely enjoying this show. I was immediately addicted to Kongou's speech pattern. It's so quirky and energetic and i can't get enough of it. I've watched this ep like 4 times just to hear Kongou lol. If i was gonna have any os/ui mod or mod for a game that uses a character voice, i'd use Kongou's for sure! r0ykun said: Oddly, Kongou did remind me of Haruhi as well, even though they're not really alike.Kongou shows up and automatically becomes the best girl, plus she's voiced by Touyama Nao. Actually No, don't know if they were lazy or it was just a mistake (large one though) but all the riggings for Hiei,Haruna and Kirishima kept changing in the action sequence. But only Kongou who's consistent with her Kai Ni Rigging. And If Haruna was Kai'ni'ed she should have her Guns with the Dazzle Camouflage, but as you can see in the anime she didn't have them, Also both Hiei and Kirishima should have similar Rigging to Kongou if they were Kai'Ni'ed but they were not in the anime. So besides Kongou all of them are not upgraded. -At 16:59 All the other 3 were shown using Haruna's Original Rigging. This is wrong for Hiei and Kirishima -At 17:10 Hiei is shown using her original rigging. (the 4 way adjustable guns) -At 17:21 All the other 3 were shown using Hiei's and Kirishima's Original Rigging. This is wrong for Haruna. This went on for 3 more minutes -At 20:44, all the other 3 besides Kongou once again are using Haruna's original Rigging. |

| Episode nice addition to the many dialogues is no room for fighting and for comedy, not bad this mix. Narrative that fails in this way to be more appealing, which advances the plot. Drawings of good quality although we are already in the fourth episode, animations OK! This TV series is quite odd, but is starting to like it a little bit. |

Loved it, but they still needs to work on the transitions between the funny and serious moments imho. 4/5 anime so far. And: (゜∀゜)o彡三式弾!(゜∀゜)o彡三式弾! well by looking at their radars and their uniform only Kongou's is different. It suggests that she was Kai ni'd whilst the other 3 are probably just kai's |

| Lol at the trap. Come here kitty kitty. Kongou sisters so kawaii. I liked Kirishima a bit more. The ending was quite sad since Mutsuki hadn't come to accept the loss of Kisaragi. Her death affected Fubuki as well since she almost got sunk. |

| The Kongou sisters are amazing! So hilarious and so silly. Damn, Kongou was pretty badass when she saved Fubuki from sinking. Special shoutout to Shimakaze, who's freakin' awesome! (^_^) Mutsuki still can't accept Kisaragi's death, so Fubuki gives her a bear hug. Now I wonder where the story will proceed. |
