After Kensei and Havoc had made it home, Kensei had returned to his home and workshop as usual. He was, however, unusually heavy at heart following the recent events.
He hung his coat on the hanger by the door and leaned his cane against the wall, hobbling over to his leaning chair. For a youngster, he kept a surprisingly old fashioned home. Having converted most of his home into a part of his workshop, only his livingroom was still untouched.
He didnt work that day. For the first time in a long while he spent the day mostly confined to this room in deep thought.

The next day, he woke up still sitting in his chair fully clothed to the sound of his door knocking. The tap was light, but hurried, and Kensei had to wonder who it might be. He'd recognize his fathers knock or even havocs right away. The weather outside was horrendous. Konoha rarely saw storms or thunder like this despite the occasional heavy rainshower. The winds tore at the little shed Kensei called an apartment, and lightening danced in the sky outside lighting up the workshop windows like fireworks.
Walking over to the door, he was thrown on the floor as the door swung open in his face. A petite cloaked figure leapt inside and stood over him menacingly. The rain rushed inside like rats fleeing from fire, hindering Kensei from properly opening his eyes and seeing his assailant.
"5 minutes..." the soft female voice said from beneath the hood.
A shiver went down Kenseis spine when he heard the voice of the figure, becouse he knew it well. His attempt at getting away from her were stopped immediately with her foot slamming down his hand which were reaching for his Kunai bag.
Her hands were in a position in front of her as if she was about to grab hold and strangle him to death right there on his livingroom floor.
"You said.. 5 minutes..!!" She repeated, her voice breaking towards the end from sheer anger.
"J-j-julie Van Watergate! I didnt mean.."
"Shut up!!" She interrupted, and kicked him across the face with some effort. Kensei yelped in pain.
"Ow!! Damnit Julie you broke my nose!"
"Oh im not done with you yet, you can be sure of that. But for now ill settle for a bath, where is it!?" She demanded. Upon receiving the news that Kenseis bathroom only had a basic shower, no bathtub, she kicked him across the face the other way. The pain was twice what it was the first time she did it, however his nose seemed to have jammed back into place for now and should heal in time.
She walked over him like he was a piece of the carpet, flung her cloak in his workbench and sunk right down his favourite chair with her muddy boots still on. Removing the cloak revealed a rather attractive girl. She had that office-clerk look, with glasses and her chestnut hair kept in a ponytail. Her clothing was also rather formal, as she wore a suit instead of any clothing with any feminine traits. She was clearly a professional at whatever she did at the Watergate company, and it looks like she never left work.
Kensei leaned on his workbench after checking on his nose being straight, and after the worst of the pain had subsided.
"You knew i wouldnt come back." He said, and looked at her with a piercing inquisitve look. Surprising considering the events that had just taken place.
"You knew i was leaving, and yet you didnt come with me. Its not my fault mother saw it as a betrayal."
She crawled up like a ball in the chair, hugging her own knees.
"I didnt want to believe it.. but you actually went ahead and did it didnt you!?" She said, sad but also with animosity towards him. She felt as guilty for letting him leave as she felt anger for him leaving at all.
"You couldve done any number of things. We have other traditions, other areas of expertise then building puppets darn you.."
Kensei looked at her with a look of pity. The hope she clung to was false, and he knew it.
"The Watergate family are puppeteers, and the Watergate company a supplier of puppeteering equippment. There isnt room for someone who lacks passion, and mother wouldve seen to it that my ideas never saw the light of day."
"And what would your ideas be without me?" She replied, and Kensei raised an eyebrow at her cockyness, something she noticed.
"Yeah, you dont even remember do you, who was it that solved the flux capacitor?"
"You, but tha.."
"And the mathematical problem of a minerals magnetic cross-section?"
"*sigh* you.."
"Aaaand whose designs did you use for that thing hmm??" She said, and pointed to the brace holding his leg in place.
Kensei didnt even respond to the last one. He raised his hands and gestured a sign of defeat, once again he realized he could never win an argument against his younger sister. They shared a quick laugh when suddenly an idea hit him.
"Hey Julie, do you still have the thing?"
Julies only response was a sheepish smile, followed by her waving a small handheld blackboard in front of her.
