| So glad that blue dragon's clan treat him completely different than white dragon's. I felt sorry for Ao, reaching a point where you are very happy to die is just sad. He should've been nicer tho. This episode reminded me of Naruto and Gara, but I still like it =) |

| The beginning of this episode was pretty funny. "A little fanservice for you today" and the video game thing were both funny! But a very dramatic second half. The blue dragon had a very tragic past :( he can't make any friends, his mentor died, and then he uses his power to kill an amy...man, that guy has it rough |

| ... shit. Ao screaming that he was finally free... dude... that was so frichen powerful. Nah, the entire flashback was powerful af. I don't normally find Japanese VAs too noteworthy, but the dude who voiced Ao did a DAMN good job. That flashback may very well be the highlight of the series thus far. The dude gets half an episode and he's already favorite character worthy. His design made him look like a real one too. |

| Wow, for the first time in a long time, I actually enjoyed an episode of Akatsuki no Yona. The seriousness of the Blue Dragon's past story... much better than the usual slapstick and shoujo comedy. |

| Even though the past of another character was dragged out a bit again in this anime, this was a very good episode unlike the other episodes.. Blue Dragon has gone through a lot in his past along with Ao.. One sad episode. Now, all that is left is for Yona to captivate the Blue Dragon and make him her companion.. |
| So.Freaking.Powerful. Lots of manly tears were shed this episode. A strong but cursed warrior leading a life of loneliness and discrimination, wishing for his own death yet at the same time, regretting that he leaves the child he's been looking after that was the only person keeping him company alone, knowing that he'll probably go through the same things he did. He wasn't the best parent figure, sure, but who can blame him in that situation? I'm just dying to know how Sinha turned out and how he'll interact with our main group -all of them, not just Ki-Ja because of their totally different upbringings. I can see Hak really getting along with him tbh. One last thing, why the fuck is this show ranked #1013? For crying out loud, Psycho Pass 2(although steadily decreasing in rank) is still higher. |

| the villagers were so scary omg. I wonder where that one guy was planning on taking Yona??? Aww and the blue dragon's story was so sad. I guess he's sorta like Naruto but he became super introverted instead of super extroverted. I actually like Ao because it's hard not to sympathize with him, and it was really sad when he died DD: I'm so excited for next week though! The preview looked pretty intense. Was the blue dragon holding a sword to Yona's throat?!!?! |
| Shin-ah past T____T broke me into pieces. The opposite of Ki-ja who got people who cared for him etc. So after Shin-ah killed the army. The villagers and him hid in the mountains? The slapstick was also toned down quite a bit to support the dramatic tone. -Resident- said: I can definitely see why he lost nearly all his hopes for a new master. Ki-ja had someone to look upon and respect, Ao on the other hand was not a very reliable figure to look upon to. -Resident- said: His pet squirrel looked quite cute though, definitely something that Yona could easily get carried around with. Literally 5/5 for this ep. Loved it! |

| Yup, looks like Blue Dragon will be my favorite. What a tragic past, a major difference compare to the White Dragon. One last thing, i abosutely loved the fact that the opening theme that was playing during the RPG game scene XD |

Do not take ratings so seriously, many good shows on MAL are rated much much lower than they should and vice versa. Blue dragon had a past like Naruto :( You totally beat me to the punch, but I was gonna say how Blue Dragon's backstory is like a 1-up'd version of Naruto's backstory. Really good episode. Definetely better characterization than with Kija imo. It'll be interesting to see what his role will be when he joins the group. |
| Looking forward to next episode loved the different takes on the two dragons upbringings will be interesting to see the next dragons backstory. Glad I had a break so could watch 5 episodes one after another lol hate waiting a week for next episodes lol |

| This series is so great, really hope its rating will go up soon cause it would be deserved. So many feels. This series just has it all, great characters, animation, combat, humor, loving it! |
| Wow...the most fucked up and intense backstory so far. D: I don't blame the Blue Dragon for being so timid - I'm not even exactly sure what the power of his eyes are still and what the consequences for using them are. The last scene where he and Yona think of each other's hands was really heartwarming. <3 |
| So I finally decided to catch up to this show and damn. What a strong episode. For a mere 20 minutes, they managed to have an adventure segment with Yona's gang AND a well paced, emotional backstory for the Blue Dragon. *claps* 5/5 |
| DAT a great episode, well set up as a narrative. This time we have a characterization of the new character quite satisfactory, thus creating the conditions for featuring a growth well equiibrata. Plot that remains still pending future events, not a bad thing, since we focused a lot on the Blue Dragon. The story once again manages to mix good humor and seriousness. Drawings and animations in the media, on the whole satisfied. |

| Damn this episode was dark. Blue Dragon sure had a sad past. That flashback was epic. Can't wait to see more Blue Dragon. He seems much different than the rest of the gang. Awesome episode. 9/10 Best episode so far. |

Tough luck for the blue dragon, complete reversal from the previous village. Still, i cannot fathom why you would protect a village that treats you that badly. I can understand why you wouldn't resist as a kid but damn, Ao went through all this shit, would it be that hard to tell everyone to fuck off and take the kid elsewhere ? |
| Eeh. So Yona was careless again to walk herself into a trap. And she meets blue dragon there, what a coincidence! And what did we got? Another flashback, yay! I swear this series is riddled with flashback, it has to be its curse. I had to cringe during this one. Small dragon's voice was unbearable and whole attempt on drama and angst was laughable instead. Can someone tell me why are they trying so hard to explain just about everything? Why not have simple conversation or only hint something? Also, why are they always trying so hard and being so serious in moments that don't need that and why are they always inserting funny jokes to scenes where it doesn't fit mood either? Basically, why is this series exaggerating just about every situation? Other than that it would be cool episode but those mentioned thing totally ruined it. |
