Strange way to start off the volume again with the introduction. Really curious to see Kyousuke's role in this. |

Well fuck. The next chapters couldn't be translated sooner. Edit: Ok, well, either I have an awful memory, or Eiri has gotten some serious powercreep from the previous volumes. |

| I despised the first 3 volumes so much so my expectations were already rockbottom but surprisingly, this actually wasn't too bad. It helps that Eiri's not only the only likable character in this entire series, but I actually did genuinely like her while I found everyone else unbearable. And learning more about why she is the way she is, and seeing her try to overcome her emotions and her family expectations with the Akabane name was also decent too. Renko and Ayaka still annoy the hell out of me, and honestly, didn't add anything whatsoever to this arc for me but Eiri was definitely really good and it's nice that she's showing a bit more of a dere side towards Kyousuke and remaining in the school only to protect and spend more time with him and her friends. Basara and Kagura were way too wacky but compared to Ayaka and the other people in this series, this amount of wackiness is tolerable for me and not overblown nor overdramatized as hell to make it a cringefest. |
