Some things that have been bugging me about this anime

Why no chase/lap/camera cars/motorcycles? I know this was kind of explained before but I don't remember the explanation, but I do remember it being kind of canned.

Midosuji riding a smaller bicycle because it weighs less. Yeah, I'm pretty sure if this is anything like the UCI, they'd have a minimum 15lb weight limit anyways, so what's the point?

Its only a high school race. Also UCI probally wont get involved at that level UCI really only applies that is of the professional level.

I know it's only a high school race. But there's cars driving around showing the racers the scores, who finished first, etc. If they're doing that, they might as well record and broadcast too. Besides, it seems like it's a pretty big deal with so many people coming out to watch it. Even if the UCI isn't involved, I'm sure they'll be using the same rules. It's like saying "the NFL isn't involved in high school football, so they don't need to wear helmets". Of course that's ridiculous and they'll be using the same rules/protective gear.
