| Yep another good one ;d First action went pretty smoothly with no harm for anyone ;d. Anyway the thing with baseball bat was .... hmmm how to put this in words .... lets just say unexpected ;], but extra punch in face ( brought to you bu berserk Shi woon Lee ) ... o man awesome one ;d, again can't wait for next chapter. | finally, what i ve been waiting for in the entire series |
| I'm now a fanboy of the series, and even plan on giving Archlord another chance after discovering the creator of TB created that... but I am a little worried about the direction the series seems to be going in. It seems like action is going to push drama completely out of the way since the lead is now super-strong and has gotten through his bullying stage. With both the teachers seemingly going out of the picture, I hoped - for a good few chapters - the focus would 100% be on school life. Shioon's girlfriend has had near to no time in the spotlight, resulting in her not developing into a character worth even remembering the name of. Obviously the series was never going to end right now, with Shioon beating the bullies and getting the girl, but I would've LOVED for there to have been some downtime and for the series have gone back to the GTO style it had to begin with. I'm sure TB will continue to be great entertainment regardless, if only because of how invested I am in its characters, but I'd much rather read a Korean GTO than see lots of weird looking, superhuman characters battle it out. Having read/watched a fair amount of shounen types, I'm already internally facepalming at the prospect of seeing the determined lead fight, and win, against the elite pretty boy character at a later date. What I've liked the most about the series so far is the GTO-esque bits and its quality humour - not the action - and that may force me to remove a point somewhere down the line... ...Oh well, whatever. It was sweet as seeing Shioon FINALLY give that bullying bastard what he deserved and, at the same time, defend his woman. He's come a long way since the beginning; him once being close to selling out his girl to save his own arse. He's become a great character! |
