| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Well, it looks like they went with a lot of action in this episode as Kirito and his team takes on their enemies. Same OST though...I wish they use a different type in the future. >I'm home So I guess this episode focuses a bit on Kirito and Asuna's relationship. So there's a character named Zekken who is challenging others. I suppose this is a buildup episode as I noticed Asuna is curious about it. |

| Slightly different OP animation for the new arc. That bar owner talking about how he got involved in SAO. New game to get the house back for Christmas Eve? After getting it, Yui is back to normal (just temporary?). So that's why everyone's in the house. Asuna's Omiai life, and "Zekken", a very strong fighter, and how everyone fought against him. Asuna is interested in duel against him. New ED. Mainly for Asuna and that new character. |

| they handled the introductory episode as expected so far. . Underwhelmed with OP changes but maybe they will replace certain other scenes latter on. The ED is BRILLIANT though. |

| This was a really good intro imo. I've heard a lot about this arc and honestly I'm excited, people hyped up GGO and it was very good so yeah ^^ 4/5 MercifulPriest said: So Sinon is not the best girl? | They reached the 22nd floor and bought that house again. Ah the memories. That Zekken fellow is quite familiar. This arc should be good considering there's a new ED with the new character in it. So far, nothing extraordinary has yet to show. |
| A good episode, quite a lot of character development but still very enjoyable. I am really wondering about who is that Zekken (absolute sword) but I think the next episode should shed some light on this part. Good ending, but it seems it spoils a bit about that mysterious Zekken. Could be the other girl in purple in the ending ? |

| OP changed a bit, but OH GOD THAT ED. SO FUCKING BEAUTIFUL, ASUNA AND THE SONG ITSELF. So nostalgic when Asuna and Kirito fought together. "Switch!" Also nostalgic (for them) when they bought their cute cabin home on the 22nd floor again. Hmm, new character named Zekken appears. Zekken has an Original Skill Sword that's more OP than Eugene's 8-hit Volcanic Blazer. In fact Zekken's so OP, Kirito lost. But Kirito did exchange some words with Zekken. And Kirito admitted Zekken would have gotten Duel Blades if Zekken was an SAO player. Can't wait to see how Asuna will face this legendary Zekken. |

| I guess I have to wait for this arc to get into full swing if I want some action. It was fun to see them back in their cabin, I thought they showed a shadow/swirl in the lake when they flew over from that big fish from an episode in the first season:/ |

| Very nice episode. Judging by the ending you could maybe tell what happens. Yet nothing I guess about is confirmed until shown :P. When they were talking about what drove them to clear SAO was very touching. Asuna story being the most touching about not having a home until she met Kirito(Damn her family). |

| To anyone who doubts this arc will be good - It's significantly different from other arcs. Rather than saving the heroine kind of plot, expect the unexpected. If I were to compare its plot to a song, a loose comparison would be the recent hit song by Avicii's The Days. I think I might have spoiled a little about it. But whatever... no spoilers about content. |

| This was a really good first episode for the last arc, I really like the new ED too. I'm happy this is gonna be focused on Asuna, she deserves a bit of spotlight. |
| When I saw the ED scene I also felt like crying, it's because I know what's going on and I know how it'll end. The end of SAO II will most likely be not a very "dry" end for the most of us. |

Though I'm used to SAO having an introductory episode that gives of a nice vibe, followed by a very underwhelming development into the story. Anyway, curious to see how the whole Zekken deal plays out, because so far SAO II hasn't really been all that great to watch to be honest. |
