| I don't feel sorry for Midousuji at all even knowing his back story. You can be competitive, you can be a creep, you can even be an asshole, and you can do it without tearing people down. His actions moving forward are going to determine if he ever becomes likable, not sad scenes from his past. |

| I feel like this is the first time I'm cheering for Midousuji, his backstory was really heart-warming and touching, I'm happy to see that finally. The ending, rotfl. ORE WA TSUYOI. ghosts said: I don't feel sorry for Midousuji at all even knowing his back story. | Um..um..I don`t know how to explain this,but at some point in this episode i started rooting for Midousuji. I mean,um..daamn,this episode left me without words. Midousuji`s backstory was so..sad...and..damn! I was honestly about to start crying during this episode. And at the end when he broke his tooth,and remembered about his mom`s words..! It was so sad and beautiful!... This is literally the first time this anime succeeds to amaze me and to blow me away! Good job! |

| I figured that Midousuji was very innocent as a child. That's always how it seems to be. This episode made me feel sorry for him. I never thought that I'd ever feel sorry for the guy. With that being said, I still didn't want him to win though. And I'm glad that he didn't win. Maybe this loss will teach him a lesson. |

| Midousuji's past really made this episode interesting, I had a feeling after dropping that sadness bomb he would lose after all, though. I actually hope there's an opportunity for him to redeem himself, losing must have been hard on him. |

| It's hard to completely dislike Midousuji after this episode. To know he was riding so hard not just for himself and his own desire for victory but for the sake of his mother. I was starting to want him to win, even though his ideologies aren't quite in the right place, just because of how much he put into cycling and how much he lost because of it too. |

| And that explains why he always clanks his teeth. I knew Midousuji would have a sad/warped past (there were hints in his constant gloating of lying about Imaizumi's mother), but dammit why'd it still have to cut so deep? The way he acted around his mother was beyond adorable, it set it up from a mile away but that moment when it showed her picture and shrine still managed to tear me up. His loss caused a spiral of emotions to stir up. On one hand I'm always rooting for Sohoku, but the moment Midousuji's tooth cracked I just felt so empty. What he said really got me though, that the desire for victory is pure. It just the contrary forces working in his mind. A pure love for his mother and yet a demented anguish to overcome losing her. |

| So it's his mom's fault that we now see Midosouji's teeth in full galore? :D honestly after she said your teeth are beautiful, i knew it wasn't the right thing to say... It's nice hearing the backstory, but i still don't like him and didn't feel that emotional, tho i admit the scene was damn nice. This anime really nails with character development and flashbacks, i hate flashbacks usually but in Yowapeda they are quite nice. The tooth crack? did it seriously happened? why??? i thought it was his imagination at first, but it actually happened. ANd the fatigue finally kicked in and in the last moment too... Bro you pedaled way too much today... I thought he would kick the bucket after race vs Shinkai but he actually lasted right until the end, would honestly feel robbed if we didn't see him break at the end there with the pain in the legs. Didn't expect the tooth crack, being honest. Seems like Midosouji will be experiencing a loss, that fuck... i'm guessing he will probably be taught by his team that it's okay to lose and maybe will grow some trust in people. |
| I will never forgive the person who made the decision to include Midousuji's backstory while he is pedaling for the finish line, they completely turned over my opinion of Midousuji (though I did want him to win the second race anyway regardless of how much I didn't like him). I was tearing up and it shook me, I have gotten spoiled before so I was aware that his mother was dead but to see it in the episode itself... OH MIDOUSUJI, I LOVE YOU. I wanted him to win so hard right then and there, but of course it wouldn't happen... probably. I saw Fukutomi and Kinjou catching up to him, then his tooth breaking and he probably tore something in his leg... Please fix his tooth. Please. I don't know what i'd do if his tooth was broken forever, it'd affect his beautiful smile. |

| Midousuji was my fave character since his first appearance. I really like antagonists like him, they tend to have tear jerkiest backstories :D. Nice to see he gained more fans! I would be happier if he won tho :( Losing was inevitable, all flags up, but I had hopes till the end... Akira is the most interesting character, didn't drop YP only for him. I wish there were more Midousuji centered episodes. I would not fancy such jerk irl tho, but as a character he is awesome. And I'd love to have such a cute son as young Akira-tan <3 |

| At the moment, I like the second season more than the first. One of the reasons is that we are barely shown Onoda, which I don’t like. I only watch this anime because of two characters that I like Naruko and Akira. When I first saw Akira, I didn’t like him and seemed like a rather caricature character, but during the race he seemed to me very interesting and I really wanted him to win. |

| Okay... They make flashback with creepy guy when he was a little kid. I feel sad for him, really.. but being annoying as hell when he became adult still can't justify it.. I still want him to loss, not because I hate his guts but it's needed for him to grow and improve his self. I hate it when he click his teeth but seeing this flashback makes me teary eye, he's nice and cute as a kid.. I like his mother <3 I want Sohoku to win!! Let them win it!! |
