| According to the Japanese Wikipedia article, its genres are "Romantic Comedy" and "Slice of Life". So . . . .both. As for this series being exciting, if you would find it exciting to work in an Akihabara bookstore, then this series is definitely exciting. In the "Cute Girls Doing Cute Things" series "Lucky Star" (2007), there were a few action-packed scenes about life in a bookstore that was loosely modeled on Gamers or Animate. | Combines a bunch of topics that all too many anime that came before it covered in a new way. Certainly not fantastic, but enjoyable enough for fans of the slice of life comedy genre. I'd say it's more of a comedy with a pinch of romance thrown in. The impression I've gotten is that, unlike a few other slice of life anime out there, it doesn't focus too hard on the whole :cute girls doing cute things" aspect. If you've seen working or servant x service, they've basically done the same thing with this anime as they did in those shows, though not quite as well. |
