| I'm not a fan of Carlos's new voice, it's not terrible but nowhere near his first season's seiyuu. |
| Joe is testing himself, saying that his goal is to vomit Rikiishi's ghost until there is nothing left of that "ghost". Carlos Rivera looks so... brilliant? I suppose. This guy recognizes Joe's potential. And finally what I want to see, the C R O S S - C O U N T E R. Great. |

| Seems like they gave Carlos a different introduction compared to the first season, now they actually acknowledge him as a good boxer instead of a nobody. Also was nice seeing a bit of the prison arc with the new animation and art style. |
