How does that equate to being generic? I think you mean uninspired. Personally, from the first episode where it shows just what to expect in the rest of the anime, I believed that the character design was lacking in complementing the story. In all honesty I would have enjoyed the anime twice as much if the character design was better(oh and also if there was more explanation in the first episode and it didn't feel rushed...) But yeah... I assume you guys no what I mean by now, so ill stop rambling. Mecha anime can have modern art. |

Well i do find him to be generic looking, but his lack of personality isnt what makes him generic. it just makes him forgettable. |

I'm just trying to say that the character design was even to an extent moe, which seriously did not fit the anime. Maybe that's what they were going for. |
