| His visit to the countryside wasn't even that long, and yet him leaving just like that low-key hits kind of hard. Naru coming to see him at his place again expecting him to be there shows that he probably left silently without any proper good-byes; did he realize that he had grown attached to everyone there and decided that it would be too hard for him to say farewell to everyone? If so, that sure gets me in the feels a little bit. |

| It's kind of a "not very nice" to tell no one that you're leaving the town, but i do sorta understand, like why would you tell everybody bad news in the highlight of their day (Which was the festival) that you're leaving. Kind of ruins the mood of everybody which makes this more depressing than actually telling everyone. Good move on the author on that part |
| Well, three middle schoolers plus a 23 year old guy losing to a bunch of grade schoolers is.. very embarrassing lol. Though such a fun festival episode. But that being that, the ending hit hard there. Naru coming and checking on Handa only to find he's not around was just sad. Wonder if the rest three already realized he was about to leave. Both extremes of emotion in a matter of minutes. Best episode yet. |
