| For me, this story's message of morality reigned strong with me. Ashitaka was pretty much the moral compass of the story, often attempting to bring reason to Eboshi, San, and many others, maintaining his goal of remaining unclouded through his journey. Often in life, we face distractions and misdirection's that seek to cloud our judgement and our morality, it is up to us to stay true to our being and what we stand for. While I definitely don't see this as a 10, it was a great journey and story to experience, 8/10 |

| I guess Studio Ghibli can do no wrong. Although they are not my preferred style, it is always a fantastic watch. What a journey this was, with a lot of really imaginative concepts. I'm impressed with the amount of "gore" as well, some scenes were pretty brutal. I'm sad that the couple didn't stay together, but I'm happy that the monk survived. He was my favorite character in this movie. |

| One thing I do know after watching is that I can't understand Ashitaka's reasoning/stance, he doesn't own any malice towards the village chief for killing the Forest Spirit or to the fat monk trickster. Definitely 7/10 (comparing this to Tonari no Totoro which is a perfect 10/10). |

| it's a masterpiece for visual quality alone honestly the forest spirit should have just eliminated everyone and realized this experiment has failed and it needs to be restarted. this also applies IRL |
